- Genshin Impact is set to heat things up with its newest 5.5 update, coming soon
- This update adds a brand new volcano area to Natlan with a hidden city and more
- A new tribe, Saurian and more also arrive in Day of the Flame’s Return
After a brief period of warmth over here in the UK, temperatures have dipped once more to nearly freezing. And I’m sure in many other places Spring is struggling to arrive; but if you want a way to heat up maybe Genshin Impact’s 5.5 update, arriving March 26th, will provide the warmth you need.
Titled Day of the Flame’s Return, the headlining addition (fittingly) is that of the enormous Great Volcano of Tollan. With the Sacred City of Tollan finally accessible, this ancient Dragonborn-built structure will unveil its secrets to players as they venture into the depths to uncover the secret of the Flamelord’s Blessing.
And it’s not just lava and magma being added in this update either! The final tribe of Natlan, the Tribe of Plenty, will finally debut alongside a brand-new Saurian in the form of Tatankasaurus which has the power and build to shatter enormous rocks under its bulk.
Heating up
While the volcano promises plenty of danger to those trying to traverse it, you won’t need to go in alone; two new characters are being added in the 5.5 update to help you along. Varessa is a five-star Electro Catalyst user who deals enormous Electro damage, while Iansan is one of the six heroes of Natlan and a four-star Electro Polearm wielder who can boost attack damage while healing her allies.
All this and a new seasonal event (Tournament of Glory in Bloom), Events Wishes and more all debut on March 26th! So stay tuned and get ready to dive into Natlan once more with Genshin Impact’s version 5.5 Day of the Flame’s Return.
