Forget candy, treat yourself to some free gaming this All Hallows’ Eve!
If you love free PC games and horror, Halloween must feel like some sort of spooky Christmas.
In the last week, we’ve had a creepy escape room game and retro-style platformer given away by IndieGala, a short horror tale inspired by Vietnamese culture and an arcade-style combo-chasing high-score hunter offered up free on Itch.io, and a tense adventure centered around a séance gone wrong that’s available to claim free on Epic Games until October 30 — when a Halloween double dip goes up for grabs.
I’m starting to run out of fingers, but I think that’s seven free games, and we’ve now got another to add to that list as the bite-sized motoring horror Drive Me to Hell has received a 100% discount on Itch.io.
Featuring low-poly PS1-style graphics and taking between 20-40 minutes to complete, the game starts off with you driving home at night, but before too long, you’re faced with a unsettling discovery, and a route ahead that could see you ending up somewhere much, much darker…

How to get Drive Me to Hell FREE on Itch.io
Get started by signing in to your Itch.io account, or registering for one here.
Once that’s done, click on the button below, which will take you to the game’s store page.
When there, look for ‘Donate or claim’ near the top of the page.
Tap on that and you’ll then be given the option to get the game free or donate some cash to support development.
(Donations can also be given at a later date, by following the same steps as above.)
To claim it free first, select the ‘no thanks, just take me to the downloads’ link.
Then, on the following page, hit ‘claim game’, and that’s all there is to it.
