Humble Choice price increase is coming this May

Subscription prices are climbing again, and now Humble Choice is no exception. This latest price hike could push some gamers to unsubscribe.

Remember when Humble’s subscription services were an easy and budget-friendly way to grow your digital library? For just a small monthly fee, you could get eight titles ranging from titles from major publishers to highly acclaimed games from indie developers.  Well, that monthly fee isn’t going to stay small for much longer. Starting next month, expect a Humble Choice price increase in 2025 from €9.99 to €12.99. That’s a whopping 30% increase!

Where and when will Humble Choice price increase?

The change will take effect on May 6. The following message has already been sent to subscribers in Europe and Canada. However, there are no confirmed reports of a Humble Choice price hike in the US at the moment. If this change extends to other countries, we’ll promptly update this article.

While Humble insists the adjustment is necessary to continue delivering blockbuster AAA hits and hidden gems, the introduction of IGN+ may also play a role. IGN+ offers additional perks like an ad-free experience on IGN.com, exclusive discounts at the IGN Store, and full access to MapGenie+ — a premium collection of detailed, interactive maps for popular video games.

If you already have an annual plan, you can relax for now. If not, you still have a few days left to grab a Humble Choice discount on the annual plan. Here’s how you can lock it in for €99 per year, which works out to €8.25 per month — a noticeable difference compared to paying roughly €13 per month after the price hike. The deal is available in Europe and Canada.

“We’re incredibly excited about what’s coming next, and we’re grateful to have you along for the journey,” the message concludes. But does this enthusiasm resonate with you? Do you believe the Humble Choice price increase will bring better monthly lineups, or are you skeptical? The comment section is all yours, and we’d really appreciate your effort at keeping it civil.
