We all know the stereotypical action movie opening where a shadowy government agency contracts their most reliable, retired operative who now resides in the wilderness for just one more mission. But what about when there’s just-one-more too many? That’s what happens in I Am Your Beast, out now on iOS.
You play as special agent Alphonse Harding and, despite your six-year retirement, you’ve been brought back to complete dangerous missions one too many times. And this time when the COI (Cover Operations Initiative) come calling, you’re not taking their offer. Unfortunately, they’re not happy with this, but they’re on your home turf, and if they want a war, you’ll give it to them.
Coming to us from the developers of El Paso, Elsewhere, I Am Your Beast is described as offering he’s-in-the-walls style gameplay where you’ll take advantage of the wilderness and verticality of each level with frenetic, high-octane gunplay. Essentially, you’re the hunter and your opponents are the hunted, with all the gleeful violence that implies.

Yes, this is basically Rambo: First Blood: The Game (no, not that one). Whether it’s wielding sniper rifles or bear traps, you’ll play through 20-plus levels with a fully voice-acted campaign. Regardless of it you prefer sneaky sneaky or going full Predator on your foes, I Am Your Beast sees you navigating micro-sandboxes and approaching each fight with frenetic, fast-paced action.
Sadly for Android players, there’s no news yet on a potential release on Google Play. However, iOS players can leap in and try-before-they-buy with the option to get a taste of what I Am Your Beast has to offer before purchasing the full version.
