- Is This Yours? is out now on iOS and Android
- Mix, match and sort items to return to customers
- Enjoy fast-paced puzzle solving, or a slower-paced ‘zen’ mode
One of the more underappreciated factors of modern life is that of the ‘lost and found’ desk. Back in the day, you’d be lucky to see a lost item ever again, but now you’ve got a good chance of it being handed in and returned. But what’s the job actually like? Well, the recently released Is This Yours? might offer the answer.
In Is This Yours? you play as the administrator of a lost and found desk, trying to return the correct item to worried customers. It’s a simple matching puzzler, where you’re given a (very) brief description of the item, such as ‘I need my sunglasses back, it doesn’t matter if they’re broken!’ and then need to find the relevant match.
As far as concepts go, this is a relatively simple and straightforward one. But a glance at the trailer alone offers a very zen, yet fast-paced experience. Teasing just the right part of your brain that is satisfied with making matches and guessing correctly.
Lost, found, lost again
While the concept may be deceptively simple, the gameplay is anything but. Is This Yours? is perhaps one of the best examples of the kind of puzzler that mobile does exceptionally well. As your fingers move almost as fast as your brain, it’s the speed of touch that decides whether or not you’re going to do well.
Promising pure gameplay with no ads or IAPs, and the aforementioned zen mode for a slightly slower-paced experience, Is This Yours? is well worth checking out if you’re curious.
But if it doesn’t seem like your kind of thing or you want more of a challenge, there are plenty of other puzzle options out there. Why not check out our list of the top 25 best puzzlers on iOS and Android for our own personal picks?
