Lies Of P: Overture, the first story expansion for soulslike puppet ’em up Lies Of P, is out right now, this very minute, at this exact moment in time, for you to exchange money for on Steam. We got our first trailer for it back in February, and we got our last trailer for it just now, which was probably actually twenty or so minutes ago by the time you’re reading this. Here’s that first trailer.
Overture is a prequel to the main story, taking you the city of Krat, which sounds like it’s in a bad spot. “On the brink of the Puppet Frenzy massacre”. Yeah, that’ll do it. “As Geppetto’s deadly puppet, you’ll journey through Krat and its surroundings, uncover hidden backstories, and face epic battles that shape the past and future of Lies of P”. It’s got new bosses, new weapons, things of that nature. It may also include the promised new easier difficulty settings alongside it, though I’m not 100% if the releases line up.
Edders (RPS in peace) called Lies Of P “the closest we’ll get to Bloodborne on PC, probably”, in his review. “An instant must-play for Soulslikers, with fantastic flexibility in its combat and old fashioned rigidity in its challenges”. I quite liked it, too.
Also, Geoff, man, please. If you’re going to wear a suit just wear a chuffing suit. You look like a sniggering teenager who thinks he’s clever for sneaking into a distant aunt’s funeral without anyone noticing he didn’t fully adhere to the dress code.
