If you’re the sort of gamer that likes to check out a variety of genres, this month’s PS Plus Essential games lineup is looking great.
The headliner, according to the PlayStation blog, is PGA Tour 2K25, the latest version of 2K’s golfing sim. This iteration introduces the EvoSwing system to the game, adding an extra layer of authenticity to your swing, based on your MyPLAYER stats and taking into account rhythm and timing for an altogether more realistic experience.
Not keen on hitting the greens? Then maybe Slime Rancher 2’s combination of farm sim and first-person adventure will be more your bag? Rainbow Island, a land brimming with mystery, ancient technology, and a legion of slimes, awaits your arrival.
For fans of action RPGs, the big-name addition to this month’s lineup has to be Monster Hunter Rise, bringing original fearsome monsters to track and hunt, and a captivating story inspired by Japanese folklore to lose yourself in. With 14 different weapon types to choose from, endless resources to gather and craft, and vast maps to explore, this one’ll keep you busy all month long.
And we’re not done yet. The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road is now ready for all PS Plus subscribers to dive into. This massive MMORPG, which takes place almost a millennium before the events of TES V: Skyrim, has received more than a decade’s-worth of content updates, and Tamriel is waiting for you to make your mark across every major zone, biome, and quest this edition has to offer.
And as a bonus treat, starting today, PS Plus Essential and Extra members can pick up a month’s trial of Discord Nitro, with the promotion extended to three months for Premium subscribers. You should have received an email from PlayStation with details on how to redeem.
