Pokemon TCG Pocket’s new drop event is here with Alolan Ninetales

  • Pokémon TCG Pocket is launching a new drop event just in time for the weekend
  • Nab the Alolan Ninetales in new promo packs by completing battles
  • This Ice and Fairy-Type Pokémon comes with a lustrous shiny cover

For fans of Pokémon TCG Pocket, there’s plenty to occupy you as we head into the weekend. That’s because there’s a new promo Drop Event underway with none other than Alolan Ninetales on offer, and the best part is you’ve got plenty of time to get it, as this event is available until May 25th.

Drop events let you hop into battles for a chance to earn promo packs, and of course, as you might expect, the headlining addition here is that of Alolan Ninetales. This usually Fire-Type Pokémon is an evolution of Vulpix, and the Alolan version switches it up as an Ice and Fairy-Type instead.

And while I have it on good authority from some of our resident Pokémon TCG Fans that Alolan Ninetales is nothing to write home about in a competitive sense, there’s no denying that gorgeous artwork is sure to be a worthwhile addition for any fan’s collection worth their salt.

The potential to get new cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket is a huge draw for this release, despite the issues that their attempt to introduce trading had. And I can see  Alolan Ninetales being a favourite for collectors.

At the same time, it’s also interesting to see that even digitally, there’s a general agreement that there’s some stuff you simply don’t really want in your deck but in your collection. So be sure to check in on the Alolan Ninetales drop event soon and jump into battles to get it!
