Rogue Shift puts a post-apocalyptic wheel spin on this cult classic racer!

After almost a decade away, Carmageddon returns with a bang (and a few side swipes), but has it been worth the wait?

Sometimes, you want a racer that offers sophisticated realism down to the very last detail. And sometimes, you just want to be able to get behind the wheel and cause a bit of carnage.

Carmageddon: Rogue Shift falls squarely into that latter category.

It’s 2050, zombies are ravaging Earth, and your only escape is through a spaceport, but you’ll need to prove your worth before getting that ticket outta here. And no, I’m not joking.

The first entry in the cult-classic series for almost a decade, Rogue Shift delivers that same all-out high-octane action that made it such a hit with players in the first place, emphasizing speed and destruction, while bringing souped-up survival mechanics and a whole new post-apocalyptic near-future wasteland to race around.

Ready to rev things up again? All the info you need to ensure you get the best Carmaggedon Rogue Shift deal around can be found below.

What are the Carmageddon Rogue Shift reviews like?

Carmageddon Rogue Shift has landed to a generally positive reception, earning a 75 average score on OpenCritic at the time of writing. Praised for its chaotic single-player combat racing, varied vehicles, and roguelite progression, it’s also been dinged a little around the bumper (so to speak) for repetition and a lack of polish.

A few critics highlight how its high-octane action and destruction feel satisfying once upgraded, but also note some issues such as limited event variety (which could get sorted in a future update), frustrating AI, and the head-scratching absence of multiplayer.

What is the Carmageddon Rogue Shift price?

This one shouldn’t break the bank, as the Carmageddon Rogue Shift price has been set at $39.99 across all PC and consoles. There’s no deluxe or premium edition to worry about either. Just one purchase for the full game 👍

There aren’t any deals available at launch, unfortunately, but you can always make up for that by grabbing a discounted gift card for your preferred platform and putting that towards the price.

Is Carmageddon Rogue Shift on Game Pass or PlayStation Plus?

Unfortunately, Carmageddon Rogue Shift isn’t joining the Game Pass library or the PlayStation Plus catalog at launch.

There are hundreds of brilliant titles included for members of both services, but we’re going to have to wait a little bit longer to play this one with our subscription, if it ever arrives at all.

Is Carmageddon Rogue Shift Steam Deck verified?

Valve’s team is still working on the Carmageddon Rogue Shift Steam Deck verified status, by the looks of it.

As you can see from the screenshot below, they’re ‘still learning’, which basically means they’ll be in the middle of running Rogue Shift through the usual checks that all titles need to pass in order to be listed as a Steam Deck verified game.

Once they’ve finished their checks, you’ll be able to see whether it’s earned the badge by visiting the game’s page on GG.deals and checking the info section.
