Ubisoft has revealed a release window for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake in its latest earnings report. While the launch is still a while away, there’s finally something for fans to look forward to.
What is the Prince of Persia Sands of Time Remake release date?
Although the exact Prince of Persia Sands of Time Remake release date is still a mystery, Ubisoft has confirmed that the game is slated to launch during the 2025–2026 fiscal year, which runs from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
Based on that timeline, and considering previous statements that the remake would release in 2026, it’s likely to arrive between January and March of that year. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

What do we know about Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake?
The remake has had a rough development process. Originally announced in 2020, it was delayed multiple times, and early previews were met with backlash from fans. Eventually, Ubisoft decided to cancel the original version and restart the project from scratch.
According to Insider Gaming, the new version has been rebuilt from the ground up, featuring reworked animations, enhanced combat mechanics, and other improvements. The goal is to deliver a modern experience while staying true to the original.
One notable change is Ubisoft’s decision to take a more authentic approach to the game’s setting. As a result, Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced the Prince in the original trilogy, likely won’t return for the remake. Instead, the role will be taken on by an actor of Persian descent.
