Slow Game Club isn’t just a fundraiser from Into Games, the UK-based charity set up to help young people find a career in games, it’s also your chance to get your hands on a quality indie title on the cheap, every single month.
Usually, Slow Game Club costs £8.99 per month (the keys provided can be activated globally), but through December 31, you can grab a year’s membership for £39.99 — saving £68 in the process.
The first game, which you’ll receive in January, is a cracker: Thank Goodness You’re here. And if you act fast, you might get in early enough to land yourself some free bonus games too!
How does the Slow Game Club work?
It’s a bit like a book club, but for games.
Every month, you’ll receive one handpicked indie game to add to your collection (and maybe even play! 😱), with every penny, cent, whatever, of your membership going towards the work of Into Games.
On top of that, you’ll also be able to take part in exclusive AMAs with the developers of those titles, get access to live podcasts, and a subscriber-only Discord.
Most of the monthly games are being kept under wraps at the minute, but we do know that the theme for this year’s Slow Game Club is ‘Indie Hits and Hidden Gems’, with Thank Goodness You’re Here, Despelote, and Sorry, We’re Closed all featuring.
And remember… they’ve got a very limited amount of bonus games available to give away too, including The Case of the Golden Idol, and Killer Frequency. You’ll get keys to them all, but only if you get in early enough.
