The developer ConcernedApe has released a massive patch (so far available only on PC) to his farming sim that adds a plethora of new attractions. As it turns out, the Stardew Valley 1.6 update brought a huge spike in popularity, allowing the game to reach a new peak of over 146,000 concurrent players.
Released in 2016, Stardew Valley is considered to be the crowning achievement in the life sim genre by many players. It currently enjoys overwhelmingly positive user reviews on Steam, and the latest patch will likely propel it towards even bigger success.
