Best indie games presented during Indie World Showcase April 2024
Indie World Showcase April 2024 was certainly full of exciting news for indie fans. If you missed it but still want to keep up with the upcoming releases, we’ve created this roundup just for you.
However, if you’ve got 20 minutes to spare and prefer to watch the presentation yourself, you can find the video on the Nintendo UK YouTube channel.
Little Kitty, Big City
Created by Double Dagger Studio, this charming adventure title puts you in the paws of a cat. Sort of like Stray, right? Actually, your goal in Little Kitty, Big City is the same: guide the fluffy hero back home. But instead of navigating a dilapidated cyberpunk cityscape, you’ll explore a vibrant metropolis. Expect to face your fair share of challenges along the way, though. Look out for the game’s release on May 9, 2024.
Europa
In Europa, you embark on an epic journey to unravel the mysteries of a lost civilization. As the android Zee, you’ll traverse diverse landscapes filled with lakes, meadows, mountains, and ancient ruins as you piece together the story of humanity’s last survivor. Good news for those who want to try it: the demo will hit the Nintendo eShop today! However, the exact release date of this upcoming 3D platformer remains undisclosed for now.

In the game, you’ll set out on a quest to locate the missing Master Splinter, engaging in intense battles with enemies along the way. And in true roguelike fashion, should you fall in battle, you’ll rise again, prepared to face challenges with newfound strength and wisdom.
