Bandai Namco’s sequel to 2019’s smash hit ARPG has arrived, and we have all the info you need to make an informed purchase.
In a world consumed by madness, the powerful undead Revenants face their greatest threat yet.
The Luna Rapacis is sweeping through the world, creating a phenomenon that transforms Revenants into terrifying monsters.
Playing as a Revenant Hunter, you’re given what seems like an impossible mission. You’ll need to travel through time with Lou, a mysterious girl who can rewrite history, and alter the fates of key Revenants. If you fail, it could bring an end to civilization as a whole.
That’s the premise of action RPG Code Vein II, which offers a significantly expanded experience to its predecessor.
Offering deep character and skill customization, fresh weapons, systems and abilities, and improving on the parrying and tactical options of the original Code Vein, Bandai Namco’s latest release is out now on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles, with a special launch discount available if you jump on it quickly.
Are the Code Vein II reviews positive?
It’s fair to say that the Code Vein II reviews paint a fairly divisive picture, with 60 published so far.
At the top end, outlets like TheSixthAxis, Shacknews, and But Why Tho? all gave it a 9/10, while the likes of GamesRadar+, IGN, and Push Square scored the game between 5-6/10.
Things are just as split over on Steam, where 52% of early users have rated Code Vein 2 positively.
What is the Code Vein 2 price?
Before taking any potential discounts into consideration, you should be expecting to pay $69.99 for the standard price of Code Vein II.
Luckily though, there are a few launch deals floating around, meaning, for a limited time, you can grab it at a fairly tempting discount of up to 30% off!
Please note: available discounts vary by region.

What’s included in the Code Vein 2 Ultimate Edition?

Is Code Vein II on Game Pass or PlayStation Plus?
No, Code Vein 2 is not on Game Pass or PlayStation Plus at launch, but that doesn’t mean it’ll never arrive on either service — you just might have to wait a while.
Notably, the original Code Vein did spend some time on both XGP and PS Plus, so it’s highly possible CV2 will appear at some point. As we’ve seen recently with titles like Citizen Sleeper and a number of the Sniper Elite games, when a game is added to these services, they do tend to try to add any sequels.
Is Code Vein II Steam Deck verified?
Unfortunately not. Valve’s team has run the game through the usual checks and concluded that Code Vein II isn’t Steam Deck verified.
There are a number of reasons why a release might not get labelled as a Steam Deck verified game. In this case, it was an issue with Code Vein 2’s graphics settings.
