This realistic top-down shooter will be free for everyone next month. If you already own it, simply request a refund, and you shall receive it.
The developers of Thunder Tier One have expressed their gratitude to players who enjoyed and supported the game, announcing that this top-down shooter (now largely inactive) will become free for everyone.
Set in the 90s, TTO has you lead a team of elite operators against a terrorist organization, featuring realistic gunplay, a packed armory, and… empty servers. The game announced their shutdown back in 2023.
Now, to allow everyone to play with their friends, Thunder Tier One will become free to play on Steam. No more updates will be released, but the game will remain, likely to the joy of the operators still passionate about it.

Thunder Tier One goes free and offers compensation
Currently, the game is still available on Steam for its base price of $19.99. However, Thunder Tier One will become free on May 12, 2025, so mark that date in your calendar if you’d like to play it.
In the case you already have the game in your library, once it becomes free, visit Steam Support and request a refund. According to the developers, all existing owners will be eligible for it, regardless of purchase date or playtime. More details on this process will be shared in the future.
