- Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake is out now
- It brings a fresh graphical upgrade and other revamps to this platforming classic
- Find it now on iOS and Android to enjoy Metroidvania-style platforming fun
The classic platformer may have receded in popularity somewhat, but there’s still a comfortable place on mobile for jumping, dodging and shooter. Case in point is the return of Tiny Dangerous Dungeons as this Metroidvania-style platformer gets an update with Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake out now on iOS and Android!
Ironically, Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake continues to emulate its retro inspirations in a surprising way. That’s because it sees the graphics upgraded from monochrome Game Boy black and green to something closer to 16-bit consoles; making it seem as if it were a true rerelease back in the days of yore. Aside from that, this is a straight-up reworked, revamped and enhanced version of the previous release which manages to iron out many kinks.
The only issue, raised by our reviewer Jack Brassel, was that Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake lacks the ability to use a controller. For a platformer like this, that’s a major issue for many, as I found out with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, but fortunately TDDR is a bit more forgiving on the difficulty front.

If you’re looking for pure platforming action with a bit of Metroidvania dusted on top, then Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake is definitely for you. With the graphical upgrade, it means you can enjoy lushly coloured pixel graphics, while still having the benefits of it being not too intensive on the tech you’re using.
The only issue of course might be the aforementioned lack of controller support. But I wouldn’t be surprised if that little oversight is addressed in the near future.
Speaking of which though, if you want to enjoy other platforming action once you’re done and dusted with TDDR, the fun doesn’t stop here! Check out our list of the top 25 best platforming games for iOS and Android for more!
