A strict Park Keeper has cluttered the area with fences, signs, and rigid rules, upsetting the natural balance, and it’s up to Snufkin to put things right. There’s no combat, no timers, no pressure — just exploration, heartfelt narrative, and gentle puzzles. I especially loved how Snufkin uses his harmonica to befriend animals and enlist their help, all while uncovering charming secrets throughout the valley. The game subtly touches on themes like nature, friendship, and freedom, and its soothing soundtrack and hand-drawn visuals wrap the whole experience in a warm, storybook atmosphere: perfect for children, and the children at heart. 

Whether you’re looking to share a bit of Moomin magic with your own children or just relive a piece of your own childhood, I can hardly think of a better way than playing  Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley.

Now trapped inside, he has to use a magical paintbrush that can both create and erase to find his way out. What really stood out to me was how the game keeps things light on violence, instead leaning into choice-based mechanics that subtly teach children about creativity and consequences. Plus, discovering all those lesser-known Disney characters and stories adds a delightful layer of nostalgia and charm.

Fair warning though: the game’s tone is a bit darker and moodier than your average Disney romp. Not scary or unsuitable for the young ones, but definitely with enough depth and atmosphere to keep parents interested. I played it myself and had a blast: honestly, it’s a clever mix of whimsy and mystery that’s worth sharing with the whole family.
