- Emerald Diorama adds new characters, weapons, and a world-weaving stage
- The Coop update brings poultry-powered mayhem
- Two new Adventures offer fresh story-driven chapters for both the base game and DLC
Fresh off a BAFTA win for Evolving Game, Vampire Survivors is doubling down on its reputation for wild surprises and nonstop support. Poncle just unleashed its biggest free update yet, and a free DLC expansion during today’s Triple-i Initiative showcase. Between JRPG crossovers, clucking chaos, and two new Adventures, there’s never been a better time to dive back in.
Headlining the Vampire Survivors victory celebration is Emerald Diorama, a full-blown SaGa-themed DLC in collaboration with Square Enix. Drawing from the legendary RPG franchise, this expansion adds over 12 characters, 16 weapons, and a new interconnected world stage.
Each character brings a distinct playstyle, from puppet-summoning mystics to forbidden-song-belting androids, all woven into Vampire Survivors’ bullet hell mayhem. Weapons now include the Glimmer mechanic, letting you randomly unlock new techs mid-run, true to the SaGa roots. And if you’re wondering about vampires, there might still be none, but with this much flair, who’s counting?
Meanwhile, the main game update titled The Coop leans fully into the ridiculous with a chicken-themed twist. It adds a new stage, a speed-up relic, a chicken character named Gazebo, new weapon, Darkana, and eight achievements. Yes, it’s deeply poultry-powered, and yes, it’s gloriously unhinged.
Before you go on, check out this Vampire Survivors tier list with all the characters ranked from the base game and DLCs!
Also included are two brand-new Adventures, shorter, self-contained story campaigns. To End an Ice Age adds six new chapters to the base game, while Tides of the Foscari builds on the existing DLC with its own mini-narrative.
The best of all is that it’s all free and out now across every platform – Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Epic Games Store, Android, and iOS (except Apple Arcade, which only gets The Coop update for now). Download Vampire Survivors now for free. Visit the official website for more information.
