Originally announced for the first half of 2025, VtM Bloodlines 2 has been pushed back, but should still release later this year.
It’s been confirmed that the Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 release date has been pushed back to October 2025, after previously being slated to launch in the first half of the year.
World of Darkness Executive Vice President and VtM Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann took to the official WoD YouTube channel (home to Paradox Interactive’s VtM, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, and Hunter: The Reckoning games) to update players on the state of the game.
The game’s development process has been shared via dev diaries over the past few months, which you can find on their YouTube channel. And Behrmann began by confirming that more content has been added to the VtM Bloodlines 2 since their last update, including deeper narrative depth and character development.
Interestingly, they also revealed the game is “done”, and that the team is now spending their time working on “bug fixing, stability and performance”, to bring players the best possible experience at launch.
Here’s hoping Bloodlines 2 releases with some serious level of polish, then!

Unfortunately, this news follows a number of recent high-profile delays and cancellations for games.
Shooter FragPunk had its console release delayed indefinitely, Fable was punted into 2026, and Football Manager 2025 was given the red card entirely.
However, delays can sometimes work out for the best, as AC Shadows found out. Following two delays, the second coming just weeks before its scheduled launch, the latest Assassin’s Creed game arrived on March 20, and has already set an all-time Steam player count for the franchise.
We’re sure the VtM Bloodlines 2 team will be hoping for something similar, and we wish them the best.
