Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is out on Steam & the Dragon of Dojima never looked so good!

Featuring new cutscenes, online co-op Red Light Raid mode, English dub and all content previously exclusive to the original’s deluxe edition.

The legendary origin story of Kazuma Kiryu gets the ultimate treatment with Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, now available on PC via Steam and GOG. This enhanced edition brings the critically acclaimed prequel to new heights with improved visuals, expanded content, and quality-of-life improvements that make this the definitive way to experience the beginning of the Dragon of Dojima’s saga.

Head back to the neon-soaked streets of 1988 Tokyo and Osaka, and experience the iconic prequel in all its glory, as Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut arrives on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

Revisit the Japanese underworld and follow the two — now legendary — interconnected stories, of disgraced yakuza Kazuma Kiryu, framed for a murder and fighting to clear their name, and former gang member Goro Majima, who hopes to earn a place back among his criminal family.

Adding new cutscenes, an online co-operative Red Light Raid mode, and English dub and text language support for multiple regions, and the Bubble theme song — which was previously missing from the western release — scroll on to grab Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut at the best price!

Plus, if you already own the game, you can grab this upgrade for just $14.99 (available when upgrading on the same platform).

Are the Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut reviews positive?

With the game already out on Nintendo Switch 2 since June, it’s unlikely that we’ll get a flood of new Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut reviews as it arrives across PC, Xbox and PlayStation. And, of course, it’s worth keeping in mind the game needs to be optimized for these platforms.

However, going off the almost 50 reviews already available from that NS2 release, it’s looking like Yakuza/Like a Dragon fans are in for another treat.

If you’re yet to play Yakuza 0, the Director’s Cut offers a beautiful and definitive way experience it, with reviewers noting that the core game still holds up brilliantly thanks to its gripping story, dense side content, and satisfying combat.

But if you have played through Y0 in the past, don’t expect anything new to really blow you away. The main criticisms, of which there aren’t many, tend to focus on the limited impact of the new cutscenes and extras. Think of them as nice to have but not essential.

What is the Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut price?

Before any discounts are applied, the Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut price has been set at $49.99 across all platforms.

However, if you own a digital copy of the original release, you’ll be able to upgrade to the Director’s Cut (on the same platform) for just $14.99.

Is Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut on Game Pass or PlayStation Plus?

Unfortunately, no, Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is not available on either Game Pass or PlayStation Plus at launch.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is currently available with a PS Plus Extra or Premium subscription, though, and Game Pass members have been able to play plenty of titles from the series in the past, so there’s a chance Y0DC might come to either library, just not in the immediate future.

Is Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut Steam Deck verified?

If you’re looking forward to playing on the go, we’ve got some good news, as Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is a Steam Deck verified game.

That means you should expect a smooth and seamless experience when running Y0DC on one of Valve’s handhelds, with full controller support, excellent graphics, and clearly legible text.
