The Epic Games store sale kicked off yesterday, with discounts of up to 75% and a further $10/£10 reduction on all games priced at $14.99/£13.99 or above. It’s certainly a generous set of offers, but it’s not exactly gone off without a hitch.
The Epic Game Store launched last week, and while that launch has seen significant support from developers, the response from players has been much more mixed. Refunds are a major point of confusion, and Epic’s messaging hasn’t exactly given us a concise breakdown of what to expect – but the company has provided enough responses in different places that we can piece it together.
Supergiant Games, the developers of Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre, announced their next game, Hades, at The Game Awards last night. That’s not all, however, as that announcement very quickly became a release, as it was revealed that Hades is already available to play in Early Access.
