7 Anime Villains Who Can Beat Majin Buu

At one time, Majin Buu was the most powerful villain in the Dragon Ball franchise. He is a powerful being who only cares about spreading destruction throughout the universe, to the point that he will gladly destroy his own body to blow up a planet. It is almost impossible to permanently beat Buu because of his incredible regeneration capabilities. That said, there are some anime villains who could likely defeat him in battle.

All the anime villains who could beat Majin Buu wield overpowered abilities. In fact, some of these abilities can be considered broken. Most of these villains could stop his regeneration in some way, while others could severely weaken or take control of him. Some of these villains could destroy Majin Buu with a single attack, while others may need to be a bit more creative.

Estarossa From The Seven Deadly Sins Should Be Able to Stop Majin Buu With His Commandment

As a member of the Ten Commandments, Estarossa was one of the most powerful demons in The Seven Deadly Sins. He is a master swordsman with superhuman physical abilities who can use a version of Full Counter that reflects all physical damage back at his opponent. Full Counter would work against most Dragon Ball villains, but Buu would just regenerate.

Majin Buu is a mass of hatred, which means he would be affected by Estarossa’s Commandment of Love. Anyone who feels hatred in Estarossa’s presence has their powers nullified to the point they cannot deal damage. This makes Buu’s overwhelming power meaningless. With that nullified, Estarossa could use Hellblaze’s black flames to negate Buu’s regeneration. With these aspects nullified, Estarossa could successfully slice Majin Buu into hundreds of pieces.

Gremmy Thoumeaux From Bleach Could Neutralize Majin Buu With His Schrift

Gremmy was one of the strongest and most dangerous Quincy in Bleach because he wields one of the most overpowered abilities in anime history. The Visionary is so strong that Gremmy ranks among the few anime characters who can stop Grand Zeno, who could erase entire universes. This Quincy Schrift allows Gremmy to bring his imagination to life, no matter how absurd or impossible it may be.

Gremmy can turn any Ki blast that Majin Buu generates into a harmless soap bubble with a single thought. If he imagines Buu’s body is made of glass, Buu would constantly shatter every time he moves. This would make Buu unable to fight. Other versions of Buu can turn their opponent into chocolate, and Gremmy could do the same thing to Buu if he wished. He could choose to eat Buu afterwards, or leave him to melt away.

Guess the anime from the emojis.

Graham From the Misfit of Demon King Academy Could Destroy Majin Buu by Simply Looking at Him

Graham is a major villain in The Misfit of Demon King Academy, and unlike most of the other characters in the series, he is capable of fighting on par with Anos Voldigoad. He has immense magic power and can reform himself even if his body is destroyed because his Source of Nihility nullifies destruction. His scythe can produce attacks that would normally not work, which means his slashing attacks could potentially counter Buu’s regeneration.

Majin Buu is a magical creature, which means Graham should be able to destroy him by simply looking at him. Like Anos, Graham possesses the Magic Eyes of Destruction, which give him the ability to destroy anything in his line of sight, including other forms of magic. As long as Buu does not destroy the planet before Graham can activate his eyes, Buu’s magical body would be completely destroyed.

Regulus Corneas From Re:Zero Could Stop Majin Buu With the Lion’s Heart’s Ability to Stop Time

According to the author of Re:Zero, Regulus is the strongest of the Sin Archbishops and one of the oldest members of the Witch Cult. Under normal circumstances, Majin Buu would snap Regulus like a twig, but as the previous holder of the Witch Factor of Greed, Regulus holds the upper hand. This stems from the Lion’s Heart, which stops the time of Regulus’ body and anything he touches.

When the Lion’s Heart is activated, Regulus becomes invincible because his body cannot be altered by damage, whether it is from melee attacks or Ki blasts. This means Majin Buu couldn’t kill him even if he wanted to. When used for offense, the Lion’s Heart allows Regulus to create insanely powerful attacks that can fully bypass any defense, including Buu’s regeneration. As a result, Regulus could permanently shred Buu’s body into pieces with grains of sand or water droplets.

Jiren From Dragon Ball Super Could Vaporize Majin Buu With His God-Tier Power

Jiren was the primary fighting antagonist of Dragon Ball Super‘s Universe Survival Sage. Not only was Jiren the strongest contestant in the Tournament of Power, but he is regarded as one of the most powerful mortals in the multiverse. He is so powerful that he outclasses Universe 11’s God of Destruction. In fact, he was offered the role of God of Destruction, but declined because of his strict, selfless philosophy.

If a God of Destruction like Beerus can easily overpower and defeat Good Buu without even using 20% of his power, then Jiren could do the same thing to the original Majin Buu. At full power, Jiren can wipe out entire solar systems in a few minutes. Majin Buu can be killed if every last cell of his body is vaporized, and a direct hit from Jiren’s Omega Heat Magnetron would do exactly that.

Makima From Chainsaw Man Should Be Able to Force Majin Buu to Obey Her Commands

Makima was seemingly on the side of humanity when Chainsaw Man began, but it is later revealed that she is the Control Devil, one of the series’ major villains. The Control Devil is part of the Four Horsemen, who are regarded as the most powerful Devils in existence. She is the physical manifestation of humanity’s fear of being conquered and controlled.

Makima can take control of any living being as long as she deems them to be inferior. She may not consider Majin Buu’s strength to be inferior, but when it comes to intelligence and maturity, she would definitely look down on him. Majin Buu was once controlled by a weaker sorcerer, so there is a precedent of him being controlled by others. He would be forced to obey any command Makima issues, even if she orders him to destroy himself.

The Anti-Spiral From Gurren Lagann Could Wipe Out Majin Buu and the Entire Galaxy With a Single Attack

The Anti-Spiral is the final villain of Gurren Lagann and is often considered among the most powerful shonen anime Gods because it is the physical manifestation of the Anti-Spiral tribe’s consciousnesses. Majin Buu might be a galactic-level threat, but the Anti-Spiral is a universal threat. It can literally destroy and create countless galaxies at once with its strongest attack, which is as powerful as the Big Bang.

The Anti-Spiral can negate a God’s durability with its probability manipulation ability, which means it could easily bypass Majin Buu’s regeneration. Even if Buu fired his most powerful attack over and over again, the Anti-Spiral could use this same ability to make itself durable enough to withstand its destructive power. Buu could try avoiding The Anti-Spiral’s godly attack, but it can attack from different points in time, which makes dodging pointless.
