Not long ago The Game Awards 2024 were held. Some of the trailers were pretty good but the vast majority of them I had a lukewarm reaction to. So let’s highlight the highs for me!

As soon as I saw the trailer I had a feeling you hated it lol as per usual modern naughty dog has not learned one bit (I just got done reading the leaked script and oh boy……. it’s the last of us part 2 all over again XD) aside from that really enjoyed this year’s game awards I was glad it wasn’t another shooter/open world event like last year looking forward to Okami Sequel and the new Onimusha also curious about the new elden ring game kinda interesting how a multiplayer mod inspired them to make a co-op roguelike and of course the pac-man metroidvania

Witcher 4 my most hyped game
One of the games I’m excited for is Shadow Labyrinth but I feel like I’m the only one (apart from one other person I know). It may very well be that I’m partial to Pac Man but oh well

Well, Clive’s VA did cosplay as Tifa one time, so we did eventually got Tifa in Tekken 8 lol.

Great editing in this as always! As for me, I actually enjoyed this year’s TGA, which is something not often I would say compared to other shows
And despite some early teasers, I enjoyed the line up of big game announcements from the aforementioned Okami sequel, a new Onimusha, VF coming back and that new Project Century game (seriously RGG Studio is cracked as much as Gust and your beloved Falcom), Borderlands 4, The Outer Worlds 2, Witcher 4, Split Fiction, Clive coming into Tekken 8, new Elden Ring, Sonic Racing Crossworlds and that new game done by The Last Guardian/SOTC
A lot of them I haven’t played their previous titles, with the exception of Sonic, Borderlands, I’m too am busy with a lot of games I got to review for, tho I’ll keep Onimusha and Okami in mind at some point
Liked the Muppets roasting Geoff, and happy that Astro Bot won GOTY, and even Metaphor Refantazio won best RPG, art direction and narrative. And I had respect for that one guy addressing layoffs and helping those find a new job.
Overall, one of the better TGAs in my opinion.
7 Rebirth on PC was the only thing I really cared about. I like Tekken 8 and I do sort of like FF16 but I am not too excited for Clive though I am sure he would be fun to play.
Everything else I either don't like or is part of something I never played.
I find it absolutely hilarious that the Transformers game that was announced in the game awards 2022 and has been in development since 2017 isn't here. They said they will give updates in 2024 and they have not said a single word this year or anything really besides that 2022 TGA CG trailer. I am just gonna accept that the game is long dead at this point and laugh it off because a Warframe like Transformers game isn't really to my tastes.
