Mega Camerupt debuts in Pokémon GO during a special Raid Day event on Sunday, September 28th, 2025. Trainers can look forward to an increased chance to encounter shiny Camerupt, up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, and a temporarily increased Remote Raid Pass limit.

Mega Camerupt is weak to Water and Ground types, with the weakness to Water being a double weakeness, so we advise to focus your counters on them!
Mega Camerupt can be caught with the following Combat Power after being defeated in Raids:
- From 1759 CP to 1840 CP, with no weather boost
- From 2199 CP to 2300 CP with Sunny weather boost
Regular and Shiny Comparison
Like all Mega Raid Bosses, you can catch the shiny version of Camerupt from a raid, and also in the wild potentially, if you can find it! While shiny Numel is rather lacklustre, we are happy to say it is quite the opposite for Camerupt’s shiny. It is an incredible black shiny, and the non-Mega version does have a slight gender difference. Female Camerupt has taller humps than the male version.
