The Outer Worlds 2 has a number of quests and puzzles that players can complete and solve to get access to some powerful weapons or useful gear. One such quest is ‘A Noble History’ which tasks you with gathering information on the Protectorate’s history to gain access to correctly answer a quiz and gain access to an armory. The problem is, the correct answers can only be entered once you’ve found the corresponding clues in the world. In this guide, I’ll run you through where to find all five clues for the ‘A Noble History’ quest in The Outer Worlds 2, as well as run you through the list of correct answers.
Where to Find All Clues for ‘A Noble History’ in The Outer Worlds 2
After you’ve interacted with the quiz terminal by the armory door in the barracks, you’ll be given the ‘A Noble History’ quest in your journal. By selecting it as your active quest, you’ll see that there’s a radius where you can find the clues required to correctly answer the quiz questions. To help you find each clue, I’ve listed them below:
Clue #1
The first clue is a document on the desk just by the firing range, in the same building as the armory.
Clue #2
Leave the firing range building and head straight across the courtyard into the opposite room. Interact with the terminal in here and read the documents to get the second clue.
Clue #3
Head through the front doors and go straight on into the room at the back to find the library. Go past the bookcases on the right to find this map on the wall. Interact with it to get the third clue.
Clue #4
After entering the main building, head right and go into the classroom on your left. Interact with the datapad on the lecturer’s desk at the front for the fourth clue.
Clue #5
From the fourth clue, head down the stairs at the end of the corridor and look for the barracks or sleeping quarters on your right. Another datapad can be found on a desk in the corner of the room for the fifth and final clue.
Some have suggested that one of the clues can be obtained by interacting with books on a bookshelf on the upper floor by taking the elevator at the end of one of the corridors. This didn’t work for me.
All ‘A Noble History’ Quiz Correct Answers in The Outer Worlds 2
The information you need to answer each question correctly is in your in-game Journal (where you can see all your main quests and side quests listed), but you can’t check this midway through the quiz without having to start again. For your convenience, I’ve listed all the correct answers for the quiz below:
- 115 Years Old
- They naively allowed subjects too much autonomy. Citizens need rules to thrive.
- Users must present a deck-specific set of credentials to access any deck of the ship.
- The Department of Belief.
- By Matriarch-ordained principles, built upon by the Consul’s able hand.

- Trooper Plate Carrier MK IV
- Rocket Pistol
- Mini-Rockets
- Railgunner Cloak
- Railgunner Armor
The standout here for me is the Rocket Pistol, which packs a serious punch for those using firearms and who have highly leveled Guns and Explosives skills.
