Keep proteans in the game and dummy’s please. Last dxp week i couldn’t use my slayer dummy it was disappointing so played 5 hours of the 48 hours we got.

There is nothing to save, RS3 is a complete mess I have tried picking it back up time and time again and I just can't get into it anymore the amount of MTX in this game is not something you can reverse…and this is coming from a maxed account.
Honestly i want to see Treasure Hunter removed completely, im a runescape member and microtranactions have caused me to spend 150USD and if it wasnt for the slow leveling of the woodcutting skill i wouldnt have spent as much as i did, and i do admit i was the one purchased the keys but i wish there was a cap on daily keys you could buy per day or at least spending limits to keep people from overspending MTX Really does feel like gambling 🎰 cause you dont know what your going to get when you click, and because theres a chance you dont get an xp lamp or whatever item your after you keep clicking the multi key use button and the end burning through all your keys and buy more.
Honestly, as an OSRS loyalist… hearing about a RS3 without MTX and without cosmetics sounds really exciting. Maybe even just make the cosmetic items have a "Tag" that can be enabled / disabled in settings for other players and for the player themselves. That's really huge.

Rs3 really is a awesome community, the people are hilarious and helpful. It is easy to make actual friends!
I love RS3! I hope we add ways to craft non combat gear, like fact blouse 👚 and hats and things! I have so many ideas for practical monitization.
We need to be able to reset a character into hardmode but keep the age of account. I really want to group hardmode with my account, i have and will only always have 1 account… Been with me for too long.
You won't need to run the experiments, I can tell you right now the results you're going to see.
– turn off all mtx (membership fees only)
– get rid of cosmetics almost entirely (teleport emotes etc are probably fine)
– I personally like EOC, but I see that divided the community, if you have any hope of bringing the community back together, I'd probably say remove EOC. The EOC combat system makes more sense in a WASD movement type game, so if you want EOC that badly, I'd suggest a full recreation of runescape specifically for this new movement (I know this isn't a small task, but WASD movement in the current game would make the game feel small, so everything would need to be built again from the ground up to accomodate this, but you're already doing this with dragonwilds).

Too little too late. I feel like this is an attempt to win over souls with arguments the community's adressed as a problem for a decade.
You're a company, you can tell us you love the game which I'm sure you do, but I personally don't warm up for rs3 and its experiments just yet.
It still feels like a blatant lie or a scheme to me, and i'm sorry but it's going to take more than this to get me to play rs3 again.
For now I'll stick to oldschool.

I really wish there was some way to nick stars, proteans, dummies and bonus XP entirely, but this is a huge move forward. Releasing TH-exclusive cosmetics AND cosmetic-free worlds is a particularly well considered compromise.

Went to OSRS because RS3 is overloaded with mtx and p2w skilling. They should make a RS4 with the OSRS model. No xp boosts, shortcuts or transmogs

Jagex literally gotta be the first company ever to lessen microtransactions to improve their game, this puts rs3 so much closer to a perfect mmo

I think you should be more concerned about new players. It is not nice to be one. Even if they will play 10 years this game , they cannot get a lot items or outfits or having acces. Any new player will ALWAYS be a new player, because of this. No other game is doing this. They cannot do the quest for the stray dogs even? And now you will also remove this option? Nah, Another bad dicision of asking feedback on wrong platforms.

I'd 10000% rather have cosmetic MTX than the pay to win garbage that is infested in rs3. Cosmetics shouldn't be part of the conversation, focus on unrooting all the pay to win that you've blatantly advertised all these years that ruined runescape.
I’m new to the game, only been playing a year and have loved it so far.. but this is devastating news.. I’ve been saving my dummies and proteans for August DXP event specifically and to find out now I won’t be able to use them honestly makes me not even want to play 😩🤬
I've only played OSRS since 2020, and my friend always told me to avoid RS3 because of the MTX. But with these changes, I might actually give it a try. Great job listening to the community.

No need to Bullsht us or me rather Jagex, to cut to the chase you simply want players who left to come back cause you did the bare minimum of back tracking on the problem you made yourselves when it could've been prevented.
Only shareholders that dont see a massive line going up see this as a loss.
Kudos for the honesty, but honestly lost interested in the game along with my other friends. Whats stopping you from doing the same stunt again?
I hope Jagex can figure their stuff out and keep bringing us a game we enjoy. MTX and activism in game are the two large downfalls in my opinion.

Wasnt july the experiment month where you turn off treasure hunter? What happened to that? Just trying to get some good PR after sacrificing your last CEO for a survey your parent company put out? Well what else can we expect from someone who founded a mobile gambling game company.
RuneScape has traditionally been a pioneer in the gaming industry. That tradition continues with a bold move like this.
By the way, this experimental trial is to explore which MTX is most popular to give them data on a new MTX that will generate a bigger quarterly revenue before they sell the company once again.
