Another brand new Mega Evolution has been revealed in the latest Pokemon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC trailer, and it’s for a legendary Pokemon that often seems to fall by the wayside in fans’ memories.
As revealed on the official Pokemon website, Mega Zeraora is the newest ‘mon to make its debut in Mega Dimension, which will be launching in December and bringing other new Mega Evolutions with it (including the two new Raichu forms that serve as the DLC’s mascots).
Mega Zeraora retains its Electric mono-typing from the original form, but Game Freak and Nintendo say that the Mega Evolution process “removes [Zeraora’s] limiter”, allowing it to ascend to even greater heights of power.
According to the two studios, Mega Zeraora will decide “of its own will when it releases its energy and unleashes its full power”, so if you want to fight alongside it, you’ll need to “trust its decision or be so in sync with it that [you] can match its timing”.
Mega Zeraora is packing electric energy that’s “equivalent to 10 bolts of lightning”, Game Freak and Nintendo say, and if it stores up a lot of that energy and then fires off attacks, those attacks will “pack enough power to take down multiple nearby opponents at once”.
It’s not yet clear exactly how you’ll come across Mega Zeraora in Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Mega Dimension DLC, but it sounds like this won’t be a Mystery Gift situation, at least; Nintendo and Game Freak say you should “keep your eyes peeled for a way to encounter it” throughout the DLC.
Mega Zeraora is just one of the new Mega Evolved Pokemon forms introduced as part of Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s cycle; others include the likes of Victreebel, Malamar, and Hawlucha, to name but a few.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is available now for Switch 2 and Switch. Mega Dimension will launch on December 10th across both platforms.
