Nintendo’s final first party game of 2025 is out, which means all eyes are now on the first big Nintendo Direct of 2026 and what it means for the Switch 2. In this video I break down when the next Nintendo Direct is most likely to happen, why I think a January Nintendo Direct is very possible, and what games Nintendo could be holding back as true system sellers for year one of the Switch 2.
I go over every major confirmed game for early 2026, including Tomodachi Life Living the Dream, Splatoon Raiders, Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, Mario Tennis Fever, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Pokemon Pokopia, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Super Mario Bros Wonder Switch 2 Edition, Animal Crossing New Horizons Switch 2 Edition and more. I talk about which titles are simple Switch 2 editions, which ones feel like safe mid tier releases, and which projects Nintendo might be positioning as the biggest exclusives of the year.

However Sakurai did show us and talked about the New Kirby Air ride sequel game called Kirby Air Riders for Nintendo Switch 2 with Two special Nintendo Directs this Year.
With is total of Comping with Two Special Nintendo Directs of Kirby Air Riders in different dates.
In Total of 1 hour 51 minutes and 50 seconds for two Kirby Air Riders Nintendo Directs.
So No smash game for 2026. But I’m still hoping the next mainline Kirby game.

On my side it's pretty easy: Give us Star Fox, F-Zero, Kid Icarus, Earthbound, Chibi-Robo!, Wave Race, Excitebike and others forgotten Nintendo franchise back as a new game or remaster/remake game.
What about Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby, Fire Emblem and Splatoon? Fu🖕ck them as we don't need more of those cash grab franchise very popular in Japan who get too much attention per years unlike others no-cash grab Nintendo franchise who suffer a lack of attention and games.
I think Luigi’s mansion 4 and an ocarina of time remake for the second half of next year would make switch 2 worth it in 2026. 3d mario might not happen until at least 2027/2028 tbh.

I’m expecting 3D Mario, OOT Remake and whatever Monolift Soft is working on(which could be a new IP) for the direct next year(my guess is Febuary). A new Mario Party is still very likely for next year(they been doing 3 years a piece very consistintly since 9. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Nintendo kinda teased something going in with Pikmin 4. Aside from that the only Switch 2 edition that’s left and actually has some people welcoming it(like myself) is one for Ultimate. There’s also the playtest game that still needs to be revealed. That’s definitely a New IP

I really hope we get a Super Mario 3D Land remaster
I'm betting that it will have a special segment at the beginning dedicated to Zelda similarly to how The last one had one dedicated to Mario, during which we'll get the first teaser for the next open world 3D Zelda game.
Some of the background footage reminds me, Super Paper Mario needs to be remade or remastered for switch, you could even use the mouse for the Tippi's cursor. Also on the topic of Paper Mario, I could see a new Paper Mario because it is five years since Origami King, and TTYD is just a remake that probably wasn't the main project for Paper Mario. I also want to see the Yoshi's Woolly World port, and a combo of Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot. Also maybe Luigi's Mansion 4. They could announce it and it release in October next year. Also Luigi's Mansion 2 originally released in March, so having Luigi's Mansion come out in summer isn't impossible but super unlikely if it is announced in January or February whenever this direct may be if it happens at all (it better, because the September Direct was pretty bad). Honestly even if the rest of this console's life is bad, I'm just content with DK Bananza (along with other games), but I still hope Nintendo has some cool stuff for us.

Next direct is February 20th. One day before Zelda anniversary. They have a section dedicated to the anniversary. And they will end the show with Oot remake.
I hope next year in 2026 for the February Nintendo Direct we got some more games for Switch 2 like 3D Mario, The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time remake, Luigi's Mansion 4, a new 2D Donkey Kong Game, a new Wario Land Game, a new Punch-Out Game, a new Star Fox Game, 7:08 and a Kirby Triple Deluxe + Kirby Planet Robobot pack for both Switch and Switch 2 with new modes for both Taranza and Susie as well as bringing back all the extra modes like Dedede Tour, Meta Knightmare, Dedede Drum Dash, Kirby Fighters + Deluxe, Team Kirby Clash, Kirby 3D Rumble, and Kirby's Blowout Blast. And also Amiibos for both Taranza and Susie. And also Switch 2 Editions for Kirby Star Allies, Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. And also GameCube Games for NSO like Kirby Air Ride, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash, Star Fox Assault, and Mario Party 4, 5, 6, and 7.
I want to see Switch 1, and Switch 2 ports of Yoshi's Woolly World, Kirby Planet Robobot, & The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
And, I also want to see Mario Kart World DLC.
If Nintendo direct happen for my birthday I going to cry ❤
