nobody talking about the fact that this is presented as a ps5 game, uploaded on the playstation channel- yet they say the gameplay was recorded on pc… good advertisement 🤣
The entire video can't be AI. I'm not aware of any models that can do more than a few minutes. Maybe bits of the game are somehow AI generated such as the animations?
my intuition says this game is going to be boring for some reason.
Lets not get our hopes up in case it turns out be bunk.
So, the God Slayer is from a well-known developer, Pathea. The makers of My Time in Portia and My Time at Sandrock. This is definitely not the style we are used to from them.
If it's real there's definitely something "off" about it. Likely AI involved. A lot of the dialogue sounded poorly delivered and full of buzzwords.
At first the fire and ice attacks seemed like they could have been Wuxia martial arts but with the earth and water manipulation it definitely looks more like Qimen sorcery.
I can't speak on this game since it's not out yet, but the devs other game Portia and Sandrock, while different, were actually pretty fun.

so the god slayer steam page doesn't mention AI,so unless theyre deliberaltly lying about AI (not sure why they'd risk it) it might just be early development jank
The last ronin game was also shown by playstation and that shit is never coming out.
it seems to be heavily inspired by Insomniac's Spider-Man, and they too did some tomfoolery for their E3 trailer so I think it's gonna be a similar case here
Gods Slayer is def real you can tell by how the parkour animations aren’t perfectly smooth yet and the camera gets janky, also the particles effects aren’t animated they’re being generated through an engine. Obv this trailer is very directed. Wether or not it comes out playable is a different question

The way the animation and camera cuts back to the characters default position after he vaults the window and the table at 1:35 is so jarring and stiff! It looks awful lol
it is crazy how your expectation influences your thinking, like someone saying the game isnt real and then he sees the usual stuff in these "polished gameplay trailers" and says it is AI in random situations without explainign why he thinks that. not to say there might not have been ai used, but still if he would have normally seen the trailer, he never would have singled out this moment with the fire. we call this "stammtischgelaber" in germany

The running animations are so stiff, it makes it look genuinely un-fun to play and the dialogue is ass. If it is real, it will be almost certainly be underwhelming.
As someone who uses to mess around I. Dreams a ton, I really hope the amount of buzz it’s getting will promote Sony to at least port it to PC. It deserved a second chance at success.
god slayer was just a timmid aproach to making a godslap game
