FNAF Fan Makes Freddy Fazbear Suit With Working Springlocks

Instagram creator and apparent Five Nights at Freddy’s fan Jake Laser has created a Freddy Fazbear suit with a working endoskeleton that proves how deadly getting springlocked would be.

If I had to think of the worst ways to go out, the Five Nights at Freddy’s series has plenty of horrible examples that could easily top my list. Any encounter with the animatronics is bound to be painful (especially if it’s like the Bite of ’87), but it’d be even worse if you end up going the way of Michael Afton and get impaled by any of the animatronic’s endoskeletons.

We’ve already been given a good idea of how horrifying that would be, thanks to Springtrap and the grizzly corpse inside his suit, but Instagram creator Jake Laser (also known as jlaservideo) decided to really show us what being springlocked would look like with his most recent invention. And boy, does it make me glad FNAF isn’t real.

“One Million Likes And I’ll Get In”

Over on Instagram, Jake Laser shared a video detailing the real springlock suit that he created, which was done with nanotech memory metal that remembers its original shape when heated. That means running electricity through the suit causes the wires to spring back into shape, essentially recreating the springlocking.

Jake Laser’s first video shows the springlocking in action as it cuts, squeezes, electrifies, and burns its way through a mannequin’s torso, but the second video is where things get a bit more real. Not only does the suit easily pierce through a can and send its juices flying out everywhere, but Laser even got a gel-based torso like the ones they use in Mythbusters.

The torso, which “perfectly replicates the human body” with skin, bones, and organs, didn’t last long thanks to the springlock, which essentially popped the torso and sent a bunch of green goo representing blood everywhere. Yeah, these things would absolutely kill someone if it were real, so I hope Laser keeps a tight hold of it.

If anything, it makes me very surprised that Afton held on as well as he did in the first Five Nights at Freddy’s movie after being springlocked…
