People forget how expensive carts were. SNES, Genesis & N64 games were as expensive as they are now unadjusted for inflation. 1st party games were $60, 3rd party games were $70 & large cart sizes/games with enhancement chips/battery backup were $80+.
If you adjusted PS1 games for inflation. $50 in 1995 is $109 today.
