Volley Star is a 2v2 competitive challenge mode in NTE, which players can enjoy with in-game characters or other players. During each match, use your skill sets to play alongside your teammates. This game mode is one of the many ways you can spend your City Stamina to earn Fons, allowing players to mix up their routine with a fun beach time.
How To Unlock Volley Star In NTE
To unlock Volley Star as a Hethereau Hobby, you need to complete the Beat On, the Heart of Summer Side Quest in NTE. The Duskmoor mission will automatically initiate once players log in after the NTE 1.3 update.
How To Win In Volley Star
To win in Volley Star, your team must reach 7 points before the other team and lead by two points. If neither of the two competing teams meets this condition, the match will continue until someone does.
Make sure to upgrade your characters’ skills to increase their strength and ensure your wins. Moreover, if you like to cheat your way in the game and have an easy win, some players have discovered that parking some construction site trucks in front of the opposite team’s net will make you win automatically.
All Volley Star Modes
Beyond the regular matches, there are two extra modes, which are:
- Rookie Series
- Weekly Match
- Open Match
Rookie Series
Rookie Series is a PvE mode that you play to recruit more NTE characters to play alongside you to complete more stages. It has four stages, explained as follows:
- Warm-Up: A beginner stage for players who are new to the volleyball game.
- First Serve: Normal stage that you must complete in sequence to gain in-game rewards.
- Finding Form: Intermediate stage that has stronger opponents and requires you to master the defense and attack skills in NTE.
- Pro Arena: The highest difficulty where you face off against the strongest opponents.
Winning Rookie Series matches will reward you with Star Power that you can exchange for Talent Bread in NTE. The Rookie Series matches take place on Starfall Bay.
Weekly Match
The Weekly Match is a PvP challenge that unlocks weekly to let players match and compete against each other in exchange for in-game rewards. Every Weekly Match consumes City Stamina and rewards players with Fons, even when they lose. The rewards you’ll get are as follows:

Participating in the Weekly Match will give you points to increase your level on the Weekly Ranking board, which earns you different unique titles. The Weekly Match matches take place in the built-in volleyball court inside the Orichalcos Imaginist venue.
