Is there a rule that says we can’t have two Battlefront games at the same time?
There’s an interesting rumor about the next Star Wars Battlefront, but maybe we can be hopeful we’re getting more than we expect.
As reported by The Game Post, veteran video game journalist Quartermann revealed that LucasFilm Games is looking to make a Star Wars Battlefront III after the success of Star Wars Battlefront II. Specifically, EA’s DICE and Sony’s Bungie are in contention to make the game.
However, Joe Brammer, CEO of game developer Bulkhead. suddenly made this claim on Twitter:
DICE and from what I’ve heard Respawn are working on Battlefront 3. Not sure what that means for Battlefield.
We don’t have insider information of our own, but it makes sense for DICE, who made the successful Star Wars Battlefront II, to be rehired to make Star Wars Battlefront III.
While both DICE’s (Battlefield 6) and Bungie’s (Marathon) latest projects are not in a great condition now, it’s easier to bet on DICE rekindling the magic. If LucasFilm’s latest statements suggest anything, they may still be working with Bungie on Star Wars games.
