Of course, all of the Notorious weapons and mods available in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Episode 1 Fear are great. That said, if you want to unlock Joker fast, there are some synergies that are better than others. Here is how I rank the Episode 1 Fear Notorious weapons and mods:

  1. Dr. Poison’s Maru II Injector SMG, Sniper Rifle, and Assault Rifle
  2. Mad Hatter’s Three-Leaf Clover melee weapon
  3. Dr. Poison’s Affliction Attunement Lucky Charm
  4. Polka-Dot Man’s Spotty Explosions grenade
  5. Reverse-Flash’s Focus Neck Bomb Mod
  6. Dr. Psycho’s Psionic Barrier mod
  7. Merlyn’s Blinding Shot Assault Rifle, Pistol, Sniper Rifle
  8. Two-Face’s Fickle Fate Shield Mod

I think Poison is the best synergy in Episode 1 Fear which means Dr. Poison’s Maru II Injector weapons paired with Mad Hatter’s Three-Leaf Clover melee weapon, Dr. Poison’s Affliction Attunement Lucky Charm, and Polka-Dot Man’s Spotty Explosions are the best Notorious items, especially when paired together.

Reverse-Flash’s Focus Neck Bomb Mod and Dr. Psycho’s Psionic Barrier are great, but they don’t provide any synergy. They can be amazing cherries on top of whatever best Harley Quinn build you’re after.

That said, your Deadshot build is going to get a lot better with the Critical Hit Notorious synergies found in Merlyn’s Blinding Shot weapons and Two-Face’s Fickle Fate Shield Mod. Critical Hit build aren’t great for every character but will absolutely shine with Deadshot.

The Scarecrow Infamy weapons and mods featured in Episode 1 Fear focus on Poison. If you want to make a Poison build, which I recommend you do, grab the weapon you use most. First, let’s discuss the ability attached to every weapon and then let’s rank the three Scarecrow tiers.

  • Scarecrow Infamy weapons’ ability – Successful Critical Reloads trigger a stack of Mind-Melt. This stacks five times and each stack adds a 20% chance to Poison enemies hit from this weapon. Failed Critical Reloads remove all stacks of Mind-Melt.

I think this works best on Pistols because you reload them often, they reload fast, and it’s not hard to land Critical Reloads on them. As much as I love Shotguns, I recommend avoiding the Scarecrow Shotguns because landing Critical Reloads on Shotguns is difficult.

What is the best Scarecrow Infamy Set tier in Suicide Squad KTJL?

Here are the stacking bonuses of all three Scarecrow Infamy Set tiers in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League:

  • Tier One – The Poisoned Mind
    • One Piece Bonus – Critical Hits apply Poison to the enemy hit. Increases your Damage Reduction from Poisoned enemies by 25%.
    • Two Piece Bonus – Killing a Poisoned enemy triggers Poisoned Mind, which can stack up to 20 times and lasts for 30 seconds. Each stack of Poisoned Mind increased the chance of triggering an enemy to become Shield Harvestable from Poison damage by 5%. Each stack of Poisoned Mind increases your Critical Hit damage by 25%.
    • Three Piece Bonus – Each stack of Poisoned Mind increases Shield Harvest damage by 30%. Killing an enemy with Shield Harvest removes three stacks of Poisoned Mind but spreads Poison to all enemies within 10 meters.
  • Tier Two – Shaped by Terror
    • One Piece Bonus – Each Poisoned enemy hit with a Grenade gives you a stack of Impending Terror. Impending Terror decreases the damage you take from Poisoned enemies by 10% for 60 seconds. Impending Terror stacks five times. Further reduces damage taken by Poisoned enemies by 10% per stack of Impending Terror.
    • Two Piece Bonus – Once Impending Terror reaches five stacks, you trigger a stack of Embracing Terror which increases your Grenade damage by 50% for 60 seconds. Embracing Terror stacks five times. Killing an enemy with a Grenade gives you two stacks of Embracing Terror.
    • Three Piece Bonus – Once Embracing Terror reaches five stacks, you trigger Shaped by Terror which increases the damage you deal to Poisoned enemies by 500% for 60 seconds. Shaped by Terror stacks one time. Increases Grenade capacity by two.
  • Tier Three – Nightmare
    • One Piece Bonus – Each time you damage an enemy with a Firearm, you gain Fear. Each stack of Fear increases the damage you take by 10% for 60 seconds. Each time you damage an enemy with a Melee attack, you gain Horror. Each stack of Horror increases the damage you take by 10% for 60 seconds. For every three stacks of Fear and Horror, you trigger Nightmare which increases the damage you deal to Poisoned enemies by 50% for 90 seconds. Fear, Horror, and Nightmare can stack up to 60 times. Fear and Horror also increase the damage you deal by 5% per stack.
    • Two Piece Bonus – Each stack of Nightmare increases Poison’s damage over time by 5%. Each stack of Nightmare now also reduces damage you take by 10%.
    • Three Piece Bonus – Your Suicide Strike damage is increased by 25% for each stack of Fear and Horror you have. For each stack of Nightmare you have when you perform a Suicide Strike, you gain three stacks of Horror and Fear at the end of it. If you kill an enemy with Suicide Strike while Nightmare is active, you immediately gain an additional stack of Nightmare.

If you want to go all in on Scarecrow weapons and gear, there are a lot of options. You should also experiment with Finite Crisis Notorious and Infamy sets to discover amazing synergies. In my opinion, the best combinations you can get with the Scarecrow Infamy sets are one or two Tier One, one or two Tier Three, and three Tier Two.

One Tier One Scarecrow piece allows you to apply Poison easily with Critical Hits. Then, Poisoned enemies hit 25% less hard which we’ll need to counterbalance Tier Three’s Fear and Horror. Tier Two makes our Grenades more powerful. As long as you hit one enemy with a Grenade and get two kills with it, you’ll get a 500% bonus to damage against Poisoned enemies for 60 seconds. That’s a huge damage buff that’ll allow you to shred enemies and bosses.

Finally, Tier Three increases your damage to Poisoned enemies by 50% but you take more damage from them. You can take the Tier Three Two Piece Bonus to let Poison sap enemies’ health faster and get more damage reduction or you can take the Tier One which increases Shield Harvest chance and increases Critical Hit damage.

Personally, I’m taking the Tier One Two Piece Bonus, but the choice is yours. The Tier Three Three Piece Bonus is also good, but I don’t like crafting my builds around Suicide Strike. Now all that’s left to do is hunt down the Episode 1 Fear Riddler Trophies.
