Pokemon: 20 Challenges That Can Make The Games Harder

The Pokemon franchise is not the most difficult out there, but these challenges can help for those looking for some added challenge.

Eevee is among the many available Pokemon in the game. The Pokemon has eight evolutions, each of which serves a different purpose. But not all the Eevee evolutions are good. Some of them are much better than the rest.

Updated on March 19th, 2024, by Suzail Ahmad: The developers have been working continuously on Pokemon Sleep, releasing new content while also quashing any bugs that might affect the experience of players. While many new Pokemon have made their way into the game, Eevee and its evolutions still remain pretty important. Each Eeveelution serves a purpose, but not all of them shine in the same way. Some evolutions of the popular furry Pokemon are much better than others. To help players make the right choice, the list has been updated with the best subskills for every Eeveelution.

8 Leafeon

Type: Grass

pokemon-leafeon-autumn-variant-version

  • Berry: Durin Berry
  • Ingredients: Moomoo Milk, Soothing Cacao, Bean Sausage
  • Main Skill: Energizing Cheer S- Restores 14 Energy to another Pokémon chosen at random

To get Leafeon, players need to spend 80 Eevee candies along with the Leaf Stone. Considering the evolution stones are rather difficult to get, Leafeon should be low on the list for those looking for dependable Pokemon.

Its Main Skill restores Energy, but it is completely random. So, there is no guarantee that the skill’s activation will be beneficial. Players should only go for Leafeon if they have excess resources.

Best Subskills: The introduction of Lapis Lakeside in Pokemon Sleep has made Leafeon somewhat better, but it’s still last in the pack. Players who want to use Leafeon for Lapis Lakeside should try to make sure that it at least has Berry Finding S in either its level 10 slot or level 25. This way, the Pokemon will contribute towards raising Snorlax’s strength. As only two subskills can be unlocked, players need to make sure that there is at least Skill Trigger S or M in one of them. Leafeon should have Gentle, Careful, or Sassy nature, as it will help it trigger its skill.

7 Glaceon

Type: Ice

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Glaceon

  • Berry: Rawst Berry
  • Ingredients: Moomoo Milk, Soothing Cacao, Bean Sausage
  • Main Skill: Cooking Power-Up S- Gives your pot room for 7 more ingredients next time you cook

At first glance, Glaceon comes off as a solid Pokemon for Snowdrop Tundra, as it drops Rawst Berry. Unfortunately, it has to compete with Umbreon for a spot on the team, which gives Wiki Berry and has a much better Main Skill.

Pokemon: 13 Best Type Combinations, Ranked

Pokemon features a lot of interesting type combinations. Here’s a look at some of the absolute best, ranked.

The one advantage that Glaceon does have over Umbreon is that the latter requires an Eevee with 150 hours of sleep to evolve. Cooking Power-Up S is nice, but it is not something to fawn over.

Best Subskills: Glaceon’s Main Skill allows it to increase the size of the cooking, which is a rather nice skill, especially for players who focus more on cooking than collecting berries. If players want to use Glaceon on their teams, then they should make sure that it has Skill Level Up M, Berry Finding S, and Helping Speed S or M in its three unlockable slots.

6 Vaporeon

Type: Water

Vaporeon In The Pokemon Anime

  • Berry: Oran Berry
  • Ingredients: Moomoo Milk, Soothing Cacao, Bean Sausage
  • Main Skill: Ingredient Magnet S- Gets you 6 ingredients chosen at random.

Vaporeon is the Water-type evolution of Eevee. Players looking to get a Vaporeon can do so by gathering 80 Eevee candies along with the Water Stone. The latter can be obtained by completing missions, or it can be bought from the Regular Exchange for 1,400 Sleep Points. It also spawns on Cyan Beach, but the chances are low.

Vaporeon gives Oran Berry, which is needed to feed the Snorlax at Cyan Beach. The Pokemon’s main skill allows it to get six ingredients randomly. However, the limit can be increased to 21 by using the Main Skill Seed. The ideal nature for Vaporeon would be Gentle or Careful. Finding a couple of Skill Triggers on the Pokemon can make it into an ingredient specialist.

Best Subskills: Vaporeon is a good option to have for Cyan Beach. The Pokemon can gather 21 ingredients instantly if it triggers its Main Skill. So, the focus should be to have Skill Level Up, Skill Trigger on the Pokemon.

5 Flareon

Type: Fire

  • Berry: Leppa Berry
  • Ingredients: Moomoo Milk, Soothing Cacao, Bean Sausage
  • Main Skill: Cooking Power-Up S- Gives your pot room for 7 more ingredients next time you cook.

Flareon is a good addition to teams early on in the game. The Pokemon’s Main Skill increases the size of the cooking pot by 7 on level 1 and by 27 when maxed. This is a great skill to have as it allows players to cook bigger dishes, which helps to increase Snorlax’s Drowsy Power quickly.

Although Pokemon has built a reputation for its easy difficulty, previous Generations actually made it a point to offer a serious challenge.

After unlocking the cooking pot upgrades, players won’t find Flareon that useful. So, its usability will go down.

Best Subskills: Flareon’s Cooking Power Up S means that gamers should solely focus on increasing its main skill. The best option would be to have Skill Level Up S or M on it, to avoid wasting the golden skill seeds on it.

4 Jolteon

Type: Electric

pokemon-jolteon

  • Berry: Grepa Berry
  • Ingredients: Moomoo Milk, Soothing Cacao, Bean Sausage
  • Main Skill: Extra Helpful- Instantly gets x4 the usual help from a helper Pokémon

With a base frequency of 00:36:40, Joleton is one of the fastest Pokemon in the game. It can be acquired by giving Eevee a Thunder Stone and 80 candies. The Pokemon gathers Grepa Berries and some decent ingredients.

But it truly shines because of its Main Skill. The more it gets activated, the quicker other Pokemon can gather items. With a few Skill Trigger Sub Skills, Jolteon can be a solid addition to any team.

Best Subskills: In order to make the best of Jolteon, it should have Skill Trigger S and M on it. In addition to these two, Helping Speed S and M are also excellent subskills for Jolteon.

3 Umbreon

Type: Dark

pokemon-umbreon

  • Berry: Wiki Berry
  • Ingredients: Moomoo Milk, Soothing Cacao, Bean Sausage
  • Main Skill: Charge Energy S- Restores 12 Energy to the user

Umbreon is a tricky Pokemon. It does not have a high base frequency, but its Main Skill can be extremely beneficial. When it reaches the maximum level, Umbreon recovers 43 Energy after a single trigger. This means that it will almost never tire out.

With Berry Finding S, Umbreon can prove to be effective on Snowdrop Tundra. Players should make sure that Umbreon has good Sub Skills, so it triggers the Main Skill frequently.

Best Subskills: Given the amount of effort it takes to raise an Umbreon, it is absolutely important that players raise the best version. An Umbreon with Berry Finding S, Skill Trigger (either S or M), and Skill Level Up (S or M) in its first three available slots. This will make it usable for Snowdrop Tundra.

2 Sylveon

Type: Fairy

Sylveon in Pokemon GO

  • Berry: Pecha Berry
  • Ingredients: Moomoo Milk, Soothing Cacao, Bean Sausage
  • Main Skill: Energy for Everyone S- Restores 5 Energy to each helper Pokémon on your team

Sylveon is one of the best Eevee evolutions in Pokemon Sleep. It gathers Pecha Berry, so it can be used on Cyan Beach. But its true power lies in its Main Skill, which restores a certain amount of energy to every Helper Pokemon.

At level 1, it restores Energy by 5, and it goes to 18 when completely maxed out. The more Sylveon triggers its Main Skill, the better the rest of the team is going to perform. However, it is important to remember that only an Eevee with 150 hours of sleep can evolve into a Sylveon.

Best Subskills: Sylveon’s Main Skill is beneficial for the entire team. This Eeveelution should have Skill Trigger S and M, plus a suitable nature that boosts the chances of the Main Skill being triggered.

1 Espeon

Type: Psychic

Pokemon Espeon with hearts around it

  • Berry: Magu Berry
  • Ingredients: Moomoo Milk, Soothing Cacao, Bean Sausage
  • Charge Strength M: Increases Snorlax’s Strength by 880

Espeon is, by far, the best Eevee evolution in Pokemon Sleep. It has a good base frequency and an insanely good Main Skill. If players invest in it, Espeon can increase Snorlax’s strength by 4546.

So, it is better to make sure that Eevee has Skill Trigger and Skill Level Up M. Espeon also gathers Magu Berry, something that only a few Pokemon can do.

Best Subskills: After the most recent update, Charge Strength M can go up to level 6. A single trigger can increase the Snorlax’s strength by 6409, which improves Espeon’s worth even more. It is extremely important that Espeon have Skill Trigger M and Skill Level Up M as its subskills to maximize its potential.
