Alpine Lake is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the cozy genre. It’s more than just your regular farming sim, and it takes place in a lovely mountain town. Of course, the town is struggling with a hostile takeover and needs you to help restore the peace. A cardboard box company wants to buy the town, but through your hard work, you can prevent that by improving the town’s economy! Build, decorate, farm, cook, and so much more in this lovely little game.
Carefully design and craft your very own inn in Alpine Lake. Build it from the ground up to make it an enticing place to stay. Perhaps you prefer a cozy, rustic feel. Or maybe a grand, multi-floor mountain getaway is more your style. Decorations increase comfort and style, which improve the overall quality of the rooms. Fireplaces have an area of effect for comfort, while a vase adds style to the room. Some items like hot tubs and archery targets are also activities for guests to enjoy. Providing items a guest specifically requests unlocks new stories, bonus items, and decor for the inn. Plus, guests give you a star rating based on their stay, so you’ll always know how you did and how you can improve!
In Alpine Lake, comfort and hospitality are key. Extend your best welcome and listen to the stories each of your customers has. Then, cook guests delicious meals from the fresh ingredients harvested from your very own farm. Even open a restaurant at your inn to provide the ultimate dining experience for guests. Upgrade your kitchen equipment to cook more complex dishes that will satisfy even the pickiest guests. Building and running your inn isn’t the only thing to do, though. Explore the beautiful mountains with your pet. Get to know your neighbors and help the community by sending guests out to the local businesses. Research the local flora and fauna while also removing invasive plants. There’s even a cave system to explore. And if you need a chance to just relax, go fishing around town, learn photography as a hobby, or go skiing on those gorgeous mountain slopes!
