Veteran players opinion, everything functions better on se, asc to me seems to stumble a lot, like a lot a lot, so much that I think there's back end management that does it's best to smooth out the hiccups, where as se between the client and server it seems to just work better and keep track of calcs better and faster imo
Like open an inventory on se and itll pop open, on asc with my Ryzen 3800x is stutters on opening, noticeable worse on asc
Creature behaviour, I'll give ASC a moment if acknowledgement that it's tried to do something different with creatures and it's path finding, but I'll put it bluntly, pathfinding phkn sucks on asc, I'd honestly rather the b line behaviour of se
However, out of the two games, I do enjoy ASC for a great many other things, it's extra content and the rework to creatures stats was a positive, the number of times I've tamed 150's on se only to end up with the most amount of points in move speed is atrocious, like it was a kind of punishment axis to taming, let's see what roll you get, aww dam, punished, guess I better go find another 150 to spend hours taming again
Atleast ASC doesn't waste stat points, but honestly, really isn't that big of fix that they couldn't have made it work on se too if they wanted to try
ASC is like being stuck with leftovers, it's alright, but could be way better if baked fresh

ASE is just the better game
ASE is almost all PC on work Nvidia GTX 650–up ASA is Nvidia 980–up PC on work and so expensive.
What none of that mentioned is the graphical price you pay for the shinny new stuff. Which is a required investment in a (at least) $1000 graphics card with relative supporting hardware in a top end gaming rig to play on anything that doesn't look like original ark. I get Maxed settings at 60 to 100 FPS in Evolved. with Ascended, on the exact same rig I was barely making 25 FPS and at a dog shit low to lowest settings making the game essentially unplayable. So, no. Ascended looses out in all levels. A playable game that has dated graphics but is still fun is better than a shiny turd with a new box and stupid price tag.

it looks like ark survival evolved is still better in physics is more practically, only the graphic is bader and i played it, but gave it back because of BBBBAAAAAAAAAD performance and they dont care about the players what they say 😉 Ark Ascended is dead and i think i will NOT buy ark2. you have micro laggs that you dont have in all other games on the planet, same bugs like in ark se, that game is fully ai generated with a little bit better graphics, but no love in it. its not worth it to play. they just wanna milk you with dlcs and skins and sh**.
and still the collision is bad…. all dinosaurs can still stick thery whole body in buildings
