Intrepid Studios released an extensive gameplay video of its upcoming sandbox MMORPG Ashes of Creation, showing the Fighter archetype in action.
The video, which lasts a whopping hour and a half, provides a very extensive look at how the Fighter works, on top of the skill tree, the various skills, and combat.
Of course, such an extensive video also shows plenty more attractive elements of the game, like destructible props.
Interestingly, our player character in the video is a Ren’Kai Orc, so we get a look at one of the more exotic races that will be playable in Ashes of Creation.
This is actually the first time the Ren’Kai are shown in-game, which is a neat bonus.

Speaking of Alpha 2, we still don’t know exactly when it’ll come. It was announced a while ago, and the developers are working hard to get to the point at which the game will be put back in the hands of players. While no release date has been announced just yet, we heard a while ago that it’s set for Q3 2024, so the wait shouldn’t be too long.
Ashes of Creation has been in the works at Intrepid Studios for quite a while after it was funded via a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017, receiving nearly $3.3 million from almost 20,000 backers.
You can see more videos showcasing a freehold and housing, another showing off the Tank archetype, one demonstrating the intriguing Story Arc System and the Tower of Carphin, one focusing on the Mage archetype, another displaying a spectacular boss battle against a massive cyclops, one focusing on the Cleric archetype, and one showcasing a player-run town.
