Back in July, shortly after the launch of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, we learned that the development team was planning a New Game+ update. Now months later, the update is finally nearing release.
It is unclear exactly what took so long, as New Game+ was already said to be in production back when the game first came out. The wait is almost over now though, as Ubisoft has confirmed that the feature will roll out in a new patch next week.
New Game Plus modes typically allow you to take your already levelled up character from a completed save game and then send them back to the start of the journey with all of their upgrade progress intact. That means you’ll be at full power even in early sections of the game, with no need to wait to unlock a particular skill. This also opens up the world a bit quicker without fear of wandering into an area full of enemies that outrank you.
While it is unclear exactly how New Game Plus will work in Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft previously said that there should be a reward for players choosing to go back for another playthrough. We’ll get all of the details next week once the patch arrives.
