I like the world and lore it is weird and different… Also I noticed the walking paths have the same structure as the ones in Outer Worlds 😂
I thought this game was super fun definitely recommend. Combat especially felt responsive and satisfying. Story was good enough. Give it a shot
This games character presets are the worse I've ever seen in my entire life. All the preset characters literally look like ugly idiotic outcast made by exactly those type of people. The character presets are almost enough to make me delete this game. If that's what I'm introduced into the beginning can't imagine how worse it will get.

This game looks more MMO. If you liked Skyrim or Oblivion and can handle a few crashes now and then like those games. Get Tainted Grail, it's no AAA but it's like OG oblivion had a baby with Skyrim. The magic play is exactly what was missing from Skyrim.

I'm an old gamer (41). Lately I just want something to actually "play" . Starfield and the assassin's creed mirage lately broke me so boring and frustrating. I took a shot in this and while I find the story meh it's actually fun! I played for 3 hours and that is rare anymore for me you know old guy hands and arthritis haha! I hope it don't get boring and I hope others give it a chance!

I played through this game twice and I quite literally can't tell you a single thing about the story, that's how forgettable it is
This feels like a fantasy reskin of outer worlds and i hate it, LOOOOVED outer worlds, dystopian space comedy is what i call it, it felt unique and fucked up and impactful, avowed just feels "meh" like ok, not great
Very safe review. The game is fun the first few hours, then it becomes a chore. The story, characters, and player agency were absolutely terrible. Packed to the gills with politics, also. Wouldn't mind if it were tastefully implemented.
Did you just played FPS on close combat malee and 3rd person on long range combat?. This is why you should stick on platform jump games Falcon
I think people are tired of the "gaying" of games. If that's what you wanna make, then expect only that audience to buy your crap.

I'm new to PoE content. I found this review very helpful for me making a product / time-sink purchasing decision. My recent game history has been BG3, and I got it because I wanted to return to AD&D (after exiting in 2e) and learn the 5e system. I love BG3, but have gotten burned out I believe, because no matter how you design and run your PCs, you are still forced through the same default story. No big surprises after a while. Before BG3, I was a TES fan with Oblivion and Skyrim. Though Todd Howard has burned his last bridge with me ("Computer Says, 'Nooo'" TESVI), What I loved about TES products was both the self-determination and the self-ordering of multiple radiant storylines. BG3 is just one massive and posh rat maze when you think about it from a game design perspective.
What do people think of the Avowed quest system relative to freedom of choice?

I played Avowed for a few days right after release. Trying it again now after some patches and some simmer time for the game. The one thing I absolutely hate is the mushroom godlike stuff. I keep it off and I can't stand it still. It's so ugly and just strange. Why did they go with weird fungal facial features? It's just so beyond stupid to me. Other than that it's a pretty decent game so far. Funny you mention streamlined skill and inventory features. I find the inventory, items, equipment and skill functions to be quite bulky and uncomfortable so far.
If its on Gamepass on release, its a half assed game
"lots of exposition not relevant to the moment" ugh that reminds me of most isekai light novels, that over explain everything regardless of whether or not it's relevant to the plot, or whether or not it could be inferred by the readers without explanation.
