Patch 8 of Baldur’s Gate 3 brought photo mode, 12 new subclasses, and is also Larian’s final big update for the beloved game. While this is the developer’s way of saying goodbye, along with a great animated short, for most players it’s just another reason to replay Baldur’s Gate 3. Messing with the new subclasses will be the main reason to replay the game, but the photo mode will capture our fond memories with the gang.

Now Is The Perfect Time To Replay Baldur’s Gate 3, And This Time I Mean It
If you’re thinking about going back to Baldur’s Gate 3, the final patch is a perfect excuse.
The photo mode is quite robust, giving players the option to individually pose each character in whatever way you like, in order to create some hilarious and adorable memories. However, one of the neatest features is related to Druids. The photo mode also features various poses and interactions for Druids in their Wild Shaped form. Meaning, you can take pictures as a cat.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Photo Mode Is An Animal Lover’s Delight
Whether it’s Halsin, Tav, or another character that’s able to turn into animals, you’ll not only be able to take photos of them in animal form, but also set up unique poses for them along with other characters. As showcased by Eyrika on Reddit, characters in animal form can be posed in a number of ways.
For instance, they combined the cat’s jump pose with Karlach’s flexing pose in order to make it look like the Tiefling was holding the cat. You may think this would have looked janky, but the characters do not collide with each other, giving you the opportunity to take some really creative shots. This is followed by a number of pictures of the cat lazing around camp.
Of course, since cats are involved, the comments section went absolutely nuts for this. “I suppose you could do a similar thing with find familiar and wild shape to have a party of 8 kitty cats,” said one comment. “Throw minor illusion in there too for 8 real kitty cats and 4 fake kitty cats.” That’s a lot of cats, but it’ll make a great picture.
The possibilities are endless, as another comment pointed out – “Yeah, every single wild shape has poses! Spider, raven, and myrmidon don’t have expressions though – Understandably so.” So, if you’re tired of taking pictures of your party, you can always become a wildlife photographer thanks to Baldur’s Gate 3’s new photo mode.
