Baldur’s Gate 3 Player Details How To Achieve Durge’s Slayer Form Without Killing Everyone In Last Light Inn

It’s been two years since Baldur’s Gate 3 launched, and that means you’ve got at least four playthroughs under your belt. It’s undoubtedly one of the most replayable single player games ever made, thanks to the varying origins and spectrum of choices you’re allowed to make. It’s almost as if fans can’t resist the urge to start a new playthrough.

Speaking of resisting urges, while our merry band of companions is the highlight of the game, many accept that Dark Urge is actually the protagonist of Baldur’s Gate 3, and resisting your urge is the canon ending. However, if you’ve decided to go full Slayer, it seems you can do so without some of the deadly consequences, especially in the Last Light Inn.

You Can Kill Isobel Without Dooming Everyone In The Last Light Inn

During your Durge run, should you choose to gain the Slayer form, you’ll have to kill Isobel in act two at the Last Light Inn. Chances are, her AI will get herself killed anyway. Unfortunately, without Isobel, there’s no one to protect the denizens of the inn from the Shadow Curse, meaning they’ll all die. This includes prospective party members like Jaheira and other popular characters like Dammon, Rolan, and Mattis.

However, thanks to one Redditor, you can now kill Isonbel, gain the Slayer form, and not have the death of anyone else on your conscience. The method involves Baldur Gate 3’s popular ‘kidnapping’ exploit. You can do so by using Improvised Melee Weapon on an NPC of your choosing and quickly fast-travelling to the Gauntlet of Shar while your character walks towards them.

Earlier, this wasn’t possible with NPCs who were seated, but another player pointed out that you can make them get off their behinds by initiating combat and using Throw or using Minor Illusion. Additionally, performing with a musical instrument or simply breaking the chairs works fine as well.

Now you’re free to kill Isobel without worrying about the guilt of letting everyone at the Last Light Inn succumb to the Shadow Curse. In return, you get the sweet Slayer form for Durge and a guilt-free conscience.
