When is the Black Ops 6 Season 5 release date? Following up Season 3 was a tough one: huge changes came into play, and the Call of Duty team had quite the job on trying to keep the pace and keep things interesting.
Season three brought us a new Zombies map, Shattered Veil, and the final map didn’t arrive with Season 4. We got Grief mode instead, with a bunch of new multiplayer and Warzone content to boot. As we get ever closer to Black Ops 7, here’s what we expect in the closing chapters of Black Ops 6, including new game modes, maps, and guns.
BO6 Season 5 release date
The Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 5 release date is Thursday, August 7, 2025, according to the in-game season 4 end date. The update should roll out around 10am PDT / 1pm EDT / 5pm BST.
So far, we don’t know much about what’s to come in BO6 Season 5 and would expect a full content drop around July 31. In the meantime, we’ll be keeping an eye on the official Call of Duty X feed for more details.
Black Ops 6 Season 5 content
While there’s no confirmation of the exact details yet, we can make some assumptions based on previous seasons. In Season 5, we should see:
- New multiplayer maps
- New events
- New weapons
- New Warzone content
- New Zombies content
Janus Towers Zombies map
Speaking of new Zombies content, we now know that the final Zombies map arrives with Season 5. Following Shattered Veil, the Zombies story hasn’t yet come to a close, with room for one more chapter before Black Ops 7 – Janus Towers.
The new trailer shows the towering, multi-floor building, and some new tech we’ve not experienced in the story yet, as new portals allow you to hurl yourself between buildings. Then there’s what seems to be a new BO6 Zombies easter egg that turns Mr Peeks into a helpful ally, perhaps in a similar way to the Terminus Mega Stuffy. We look forward to seeing what else awaits us in Janus Towers come August 7.
