wild a cartoon game is so poorly made
"The Game is Optimized!"
Wow, that's really awful. It's seems to be just badly optimized on all platforms. I assumed that the art-style of borderlands would be allot easier to run than most other modern games. For example I played Borderlands 3 just fine on my business laptop with a 5625u on the APU in bed while I was sick and didn't feel well enough to sit at my desktop. That laptop won't play most games at all but Borderlands 3 on 720p low settings ran like a champ.
Great video, just tinkered a bit with this game on my steam deck myself. At this point it feels like its not really good enough. Considering how poorly it runs even on a good speced PC, I guess its no surprise. Not sure if I think they will manage to fix it at this point, feels like they messed the game up performance wise from the start so probably not easy to fix it this late into it. But would be nice, feels like a game that would suit the steamdeck pretty good if it didnt runt so bad
When did games become more about making money and graphics than having fun? Did they really need to change the game engine?
game is bad anyway just forget about it.
Stable nintendo 30 fps is on steamdeck , i surprized
Try lossless scaling…you can crub that input latency WITH frame gen and feels much better
Short answer? No, atleast not what you'd like when you spend so much on Steam Deck and then BL4
Premium Game for Premium Gamer they said :'D
RUNS GREAT!
I am playing Borderlands 4 on my rog ally x at 25w and at 900p fsr performance I barely get 30-35 fps. Playable, but barely, I prefer 45-60fps for the ally. Really poor.
No
Man look at that input latency with those joysticks the steam deck oled sucks.
It's a garbage game, wouldn't even bother
Steam Deck is weak sauce for new games. We need steam deck 2.
People were laughing at the switch 2 being 30fps lol with this game apparently thats a huge accomplishment. Terribly optimized game on literally everything its sold on.
How did you manage to get it running? It wont even start for me, tried several different Proton.
Love the concise yet detailed rundown
So people say steamdeck is better than switch 2, but steamdeck can't even run new games?
So that's b.s.
As far as I'm concerned steamdeck is officially outdated and or obsolete whatever u wanna call it, it can't even run new games haha…it's officially time for a steamdeck 2
This ain't looking good for the Switch 2 release
Even modern midrange PCs are struggling with BL4 at 60fps 1440p medium settings with upscaling, and the XSX/PS5 Pro dips into the 40-45 fps range a lot, so I'm surprised it even managed to run on the Steamdeck without crashing to be honest. The optimisation is truly terrible, especially on the CPU side, and frame generation is not an appropriate solution in an FPS game where input latency is particularly easy to feel. Very disappointing, no matter which platform you are playing on
I would freak out if my steam deck could run
use fsr, use frame gen said randy. Can't even run at 30fps on the steam deck with lowest possible settings. Truly a "Premium game for premium gamers"
