After playing Skate for well over five hours, not only we can clearly see the direction developer Full Circle is taking the series, but we can also say that Skate is shaping up to be a game worthy of being the long-awaited sequel to 2010’s Skate 3. Previewed by Nick Maillet

I want a skate 3 remaster
The gameplay looks great. It's a pity that its wrapped up in so much nonsense. I think I'll stick with Session.
God IGN always has the worst takes from the worst players/reviewers…
Was a HUGE skate fan until I played this games beta. If I want to play THPS i'll buy that. I get Skate 3 was a bit over the top but this one… Plus the max i'll spend on a game is maybe $70. So since its free to play I know I will not get the full game for that price, but maybe 1/100th. So far not impressed, guess we will see what happens.
just make open world servers, some reason for people to hangout and make sure its a community driven game
they had literally 5 years worth of feedback online about the art style… WHY
why cant they just add some grit, distortion and dirt. looks like a model still
Wtf is this Fortnite looking BS????? Gaming is dead….
Looks a lot worse physics wise than even SkaterXL
why they dident do skate 3 on ps5 instead? its so much better
It just kind of feels like if fortnite was a skateboarding game. It used to be closer to a sim, oh the glory days.
no thank you
Simple. Don’t get this game.
Man….. your a f’ing dumbass cornball for real eh. Skating is good. That is literally it about this game that is any good. Terrible bland review. Are you AI?
looks like skate 3 but more focused on the open world sandbox aspect which is kinda what I look for in skate regardless of presentation skate has always had a kind of wacky presentation to it I know skate 1 and 2 have actual story modes with grit and stuff but I feel that it always has had that bit of quirkiness to it too I mean those complaining about the silly cosmetics we had full on skelly bones characters and fucken issac clarke as actual skins you could be in skate 3 and while not the same it has had these elements for a while… While I admit I have a biased opinion and really will just eat up anything skate related (that actually has online multiplayer still functional) I did go back and play skate 1 and 2 and with or without the grittiness I just want a skateboarding game with skate controls and open world places to find cool spots to do tricks on with those mechanics and this gives me exactly that~
So this is a huge win for me~~~ I tried Session and ran into constant issues with its missions it felt soulless and and the mechanics of the missions were infuriating cause I constantly had weird detection issues with getting the game to detect that I had done what it had wanted me to do the mechanics were so infuriating and unintuitive I uninstalled the game….
I think I agree with something someone else said in these comments section if we can get a game that has sessions grittiness but the gameplay of SKATE then that would be the best of both worlds but I am just happy to be able to skate with friends with SKATES mechanics and gameplay~~~
Session controls is YEARS ahead. Hopefully they see it at some point
It looks like a last Gen game.
Sceptical about the accessibility changes to trick/board flipping..
Competetive play is DOA if you can flick your fingers off trying to land a crazy trick, and then get beaten by someone pressing 3 buttons
It's crazy most people hating on the game already like do none of y'all know what "early access" means? They are still working on the game I'm positive they will keep working and releasing new things along the way and work on the game like y'all need to chill fr 😂
They kept the little sound when you get a certain amount on the trick system, that makes me feel nostalgic as hell, one thing I do want is the hall of meats screen where you see your bones you broke in your injury that would make it sooo much better
Game has no soul at all.
Seems like the right place to ask…. How can I play skate 3 on ps5?
Great they got a non skater to review a realistic skate sound good idea 😅
We need a mix of skate and tony hawks underground
Looks terrible
This will be the end of the Skate franchise… I've played it 2 times now. 1 time in the early acces a while ago (didn't want to play again), and now, today, again after the 'update'. I have played all skate games over thousands of hours. From Street Sk8er (1998) to all Tony Hawk to Skate 1, 2 and 3… Session (loved the graphics, but couldn't get used to the gameplay), Skater XL… and now after waiting for a long time… Skate (4). I've played it twice now for 2,5 hours and I really hated it. The graphics are bad, childish, camera movements are sickening… the voice overs / chosen 'slang' and 'skate crew names'… very cringe. Will not play it again. I will delete it from my console before it is released. I think it is made for children til the age of 12… Didn't have fun playing the game. Too bad they actually take the effort to release it.
Looks like they've tried to transition more towards an SSX-style game, catering to the youngins' with bright colors and easy tricks. Will be interesting to see the final result but probably won't tickle my pickle the same way the earlier skate games did.
Whoever this is doesn’t skate in real life at all lol
What a difference paid reviews make.
Ah live service. You lost me. I completely lost all interest
People have nostalgia glasses on hard. Stake was NEVER realistic. I’d rather play a new Skate that is free and gets constant updates than a $80 paid game that won’t get updates because no one buys it.
EA is the worst.
Sorry, but this art style is such a turnoff. I'm not finna look at this for hours upon hours.
i feel like we went backwords with skate the way it looks and everything coming from a skater myself shit the best parts was being at the parks chatting just bullshiting and playing a game of skate chat should be a huge thing in skate and it looks so damn cartoonish wtf
I’ll get it when it’s less than $30 fake skate 4
It looks a little floaty.
