“Capcom Highlights” Digital Events Scheduled For This Week And Next Week

Capcom should have some major news about their games given the unique scheduling of these events.

Capcom has revealed they will be hosting a Capcom Highlights digital event series this week and next week.

These two events will mark the first time Capcom is hosting a major presentation to talk about their games for 2024. On the side, it may be the last such piece of marketing they have planned for this financial year, which ends on March 31, 2024.

They have also laid out their schedule, and as explained by Video Games Chronicle, they won’t be showing off Monster Hunter Wilds in the event.

So, what can we look forward to for Capcom Highlights?

On day one, scheduled tomorrow at March 7 at 3pm PT, they will be showing off their next upcoming major release, Dragon’s Dogma 2. Buzz on this title is very good, even with the growing controversy over its rumored 30 FPS performance lock. Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released On March 22, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Windows via Steam.

Alongside Dragon’s Dogma 2, we will also get to see their mysterious new IP, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Capcom has shown us some impressive trailers confirming its Japanese mythology theme, but they haven’t revealed much about the game at all. For now, all we know is that they called it a “strategy/action game experience.”

So, we expect to learn more about Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess in this event, but we may not have to wait that long. Today’s Xbox Partner Preview event will also put a spotlight on the game. While we may learn more during Capcom Highlights, this Xbox Partner Preview may be where Capcom decides to really explain what this one is all about.

Capcom Highlights day two is scheduled on March 11 at 3pm PT, and will spotlight some of their more recent releases.

Street Fighter 6 was released all the way back in June 2023, and has seen a steady release of new playable characters. Ed was just released last month, so we may get a preview of who’s coming next.

Exoprimal released last July, receiving mixed reviews and selling a few ten thousand short of a million units as of September 2023. If Capcom has more good news on its sales, we’ll likely learn it here. If not, we can expect news on more content for the game in the future.

While we won’t get news on Monster Hunter Wilds, there will be Monster Hunter games at the second event. There will be news about Monster Hunter Now, their new mobile augmented reality game with Niantic, as well as the upcoming rerelease of Monster Hunter Stories.

And of course, we never know if Capcom is keeping some surprises in stock as well. Given the unique schedule of these events, Capcom should have some news on what they accomplished in the last year, and what they have planned in the next one.
