Dante the Great Thief Full Walkthrough Crimson Desert

Players get the Dante the Great Thief bounty mission as part of the House Felix (Family Concerns Questline) in Crimson Desert. It’s not a separate bounty like many others, but rather a tie-in side quest that requires you to complete Hernand Faction Quests.

Dante the Great Thief can be found in the Inksworth Bindery. We have the map information and quest walkthrough below so that you can complete this quest and find your bounty, even if he’s nowhere to be found.

How to Unlock and Capture Dante in Crimson Desert

  • Dante the Great Thief won’t appear in the game unless players progress through Chapter 4 of the main story and complete Hernand Faction Quests.
  • Dante’s bounty is a tie-in quest for House Felix, also connected to liberating Inksworth Bindery as part of the Family Concerns Questline.
  • Like with other bounties, players will be able to find the Dante bounty notice during exploration of the Hernand Town surroundings, on one of the wooden poles in the area. Taking the bounty poster and reading it will add the Dante bounty to the Journal for tracking.
  • The map marker for Dante the Great Thief outlaw leads southwest from the city of Hernand, east of the Witchwood, across the river of Hernand Highlands and the Howling Hills Greymane camp.
  • Upon arrival, players won’t be able to simply locate and capture Dante the Great Thief on the spot.
  • First, the Inksworth Bindery has to be liberated from Bleed Bandits as part of another side quest for House Felix. Worry not, it’s a very small camp with just a handful of common enemies, so it won’t be a problem.
  • Once the bandits have been defeated, Dante will spawn right in the Inksworth Bindery after the short cutscene, and will flee immediately.
  • Don’t waste any time, and run towards the outlaw before he gets too far away to tackle him (X/A), hit him several times before a prompt to tie up the Great Thief will appear.

Try to avoid looting the Inksworth Bindery when you have Dante to worry about, as some players have reported that Dante may despawn or run away if you leave him unattended for too long.

  • The process of returning Dante the Great Thief to Hernand guards is the same as with every other bounty: just get him back to Hernand jail for a reward of 8 silver and Contribution Points.
  • With Dante the Great Thief handed in, you will have already done two quests for House Felix and can continue the Family Concerns Questline from there.

Like almost every bounty in Crimson Desert, Dante should be delivered alive, so it’s not recommended to hit him too hard when capturing him. If you kill him, only half of the reward will be waiting for you.

There are plenty of other outlaw bounties available in Crimson Desert; some are trickier than others. Make sure to check other GameRant guides for some of the less straightforward targets, like Haldin or Warren.
