Dark and Darker: Where to Find Invisibility Potions

Becoming invisible can be of great value for Dark and Darker players, who either can’t escape the danger zone or simply want to avoid certain encounters. Fortunately, there are Invisibility Potions in the game that allow you to become unseen for a short period of time.

Our guide will provide you with tips on where to find Invisibility potions in Dark and Darker, as well as how to use them correctly.

Where to Find Invisibility Potions

Invisibility potions cannot be crafted or purchased from the Alchemist. But you can still find them if you know where to look. Here are the main locations to look for Invisibility potions:

  • Chests and coffins.
  • Mob/monster drops.
  • On the ground, shelves, tables, and inside statues.

Invisibility potions can really be found almost anywhere, but there are certain conditions where they appear more often than anywhere else.

Here is the list of enemies that drop Invisibility potions more often than others:

  • Skeleton Mages.
  • Lava Monsters.
  • Goblin Mages.
  • Zombies.
  • Death Beetles.

Here is the list of lootables that typically contain Invisibility Potions of various rarities:

  • Skeleton Barrels.
  • Barrels.
  • Crates.
  • Skeleton Bones.
  • Spider Pots.
  • Oak Chests.
  • Reinforced Chests.

How to Use Invisibility Potions

Invisibility potions are consumed in order to become invisible to other players and enemies. Various rarities of potions last for certain amounts of time. Here is a complete breakdown of the durations of Invisibility potions:

  • Junk: 10 seconds.
  • Poor: 20 seconds.
  • Common: 30 seconds.
  • Uncommon: 40 seconds.
  • Rare: 50 seconds.
  • Epic: 60 seconds.
  • Legendary: 70 seconds.
  • Unique: 80 seconds.

However, there are also certain rules that you must follow if you want the potions to be effective. The spell can be easily broken if you move, take any action, or receive damage. This means that the correct application of Invisibility potions requires a certain skillfulness.

Here are a few rules that you should follow if you don’t want to get caught:

  • Try to drink the potion once you’re out of an enemy’s sightline.
  • Rangers have the Tracking perk that allows them to see your footsteps and thus see your position regardless of whether you’re invisible or not.
  • The sound of drinking a potion can be heard if done too close to an enemy, which can also give away your position.
    • Try to drink the potion when there is another sound in the room in order to mask the sound of the potion drinking.

That’s everything you need to know on where to find Invisibility Potions and use them in Dark and Darker. Stay tuned for more Dark and Darker guides on our dedicate tips page.
