I believe this world was robbed of 2 great things, a days gone 2-3 (yes im greedy, give me 2 more days gone) and call of duty ghosts 2 (or just a reboot, I miss riley)

I am the type to never play horror or open world survival games so I am surprised that I finished the game 100% on the PS4 slim, I honestly don't even remember how I got into playing it in the first place, I think a friend of mine recommended it to me and then I just got hooked after a while.

I remember how much I loved the story and the graphics like the night sky and environment, I just could not put this game down and took my sweet time exploring everything I could and doing every little side quest too and when I finally finished it I wished so bad for a part 2 :/

Just picked up this physical game cd and will be playing for the first time remastered when I get home in a week from work

I just finished this game having spent almost 153 hours in this world, travelling from broken town to broken town on my way to missions, picking up what I need as I go, running out of gas or braking down and having to figure it out while fighting freakers.

Once I was finished with the story I sort of just sat there for a bit not knowing what to do with myself. There aren't a lot of games that have done that for me.

It would be a crying shame for Sony to leave this world and story behind. What happens next? What happens with Nero and how far down the rabbit hole do their experiments go? What happens to O'Brien and his small team of potential deserters? How much do the freakers evolve? What are they becoming? Can Sara find a cure etc?

Did you locate The Growler gun yet? You can find it in New Game + in the remastered version on PS5. I found it in a horde cave. It's amazing 😂

Was on the fence with this one for a while, but after watching this today and as is on sale currently, I have nabbed it. Fingers crossed I’ll enjoy it

Edit: 4 hours after above comment – I love it already, how have I slept on this gem for so long, especially when I had access to PS4 version through PlayStation+ monthly game! Wow!

11 days later, got the platinum. What an amazing game. 10/10

Feel so bad for the devs of days gone. Reviewers bandwagoned to make it sound completely boring and tanked it

I ain't losing hope for Days of Gone 2

They should have two night modes. The original and the real one. Unless it's fullmoon, night is really dark. You can't see shit at all. In daysgone and any other game I played, it's always fullmoon which sucks. I know it's video game and I know people hate challenge but this is why there's two modes for the night. I feel like dying light has the best night. It was so dark at night, it's so scary to explore and that's the thrill part especially when volatile chase you. On daysgone, imagine going on a dark highway not seeing shit and you face to face with a horde, that's like the scariest shit we never had. Daysgone 2, make it not fullmoon each night lmao

Days gone is better than the last of us. Not even close

They already talked about what part 2 was gonna be about and what the freakers where gonna be like. Some freaks where gonna have body armor some with weapons and apparently some with guns

Huge fan of the game, given the similarities to State of Decay, I'm hoping SOD3 fills some of the void… though they likely won't have the character/story power Days Gone has. I think Days Gone is amazing, but has a few big flaws. The uneven voice work is distracting. The voices themselves are fine, but the timing of them in terms of when they trigger, or how they are toned in context of scenes is a mess. Obviously Witwer is a legend, but it really feels like he didn't have much direction. Sometimes he's perfect, other times over the top based on the scene, or even sometimes just off from what is happening physically. This is likely the result of them having limited time with him in the booth and him knocking out 400 pages of script solo without gameplay or other actors to reference. I'm also often angered by the way lighting works at night. It's realistic, but makes for annoying gameplay sometimes.

I also don't love when games rely too heavy on back story. Obviously, stepping into a role, there will be back story. But Deacon has a history with almost everyone you meet in the game that you as the player didn't experience and it's a mixed bag on bringing that out.

This is a really good game, It has that UE4 crisp performance and visuals, after playing newer games i'm really impressed especially with the Live Foliage and weather dynamics, when the wind blows, every single leaf and branch is moving. To criticize the game and maybe why it didn't take off like it should have, its a game meant to give lots of gameplay hours more so than having an on the rails story, you can spend hours between story objectives burning nests and being chased off by hoards, I think of this game as an open world Last of Us. I'm going to give it another chance and probably B-line the story on an easier difficulty, finally now with really good performance on my newer hardware

I wish the encampments would become stronger or weaker by your actions and that trading supplies between encampments was a thing. Strong encampments could send out hunting parties or supply people to help take out hordes.

Years ago when i was working and not having much money, i didnt buy alot of games until i was sure it was fun and this is one of them, destiny was great too, Red dead 2

Favatar

Does the game still have long loading screens? I m hoping a remaster for PS5 has eliminated that.

Favatar

Love this game so much but i wouldn't buy it. The games just as broken as the original and the fact bend studio have the audacity to call it "remastered" is shocking. The bugs and glitches make the game unplayable at times and its been out for 4 months. Its basically a cash grab.

Favatar

Them releasing a remaster is like holding a carrot on a stick off a cliff. Game studios are cruel, haha

Favatar

too bad they screwed the remake up, glitchy as hell.

Favatar

Another bloated “review” that spends more time repeating itself and talking about the original game than the remaster. This video could have been an efficient two minutes, rather than ten. PLEASE reviewers: Be precise and succinct with your content. Nobody wants to listen to your redundant, bad grammar-ridden prattling for ten minutes. Also, if you don’t know WHY something is the way it is, RESEARCH IT. Why should I choose to watch your content when my opinion is just as informed and valid as yours?

I have had a problem with the bike refusing to accelerate but Bend need to make a part 2, I'd buy it after they've patched it 27 times in the first year!
