The Immortal SMG is the new hotness making waves across Destiny 2 PvP, and you’ll want its god rolls to take full advantage of it. A 750 RPM Submachine Gun, it comes as a reward from the Trials of Osiris. Called “power creep the gun” by the community, this weapon almost instantly rose to the top of the Trials charts, doubling the number of kills of its 2nd place competition.
If you don’t manage to find one the week it’s available as a reward, don’t worry. It will come around again. When you get The Immortal, here is the god roll you’re looking for.
Immortal SMG God Rolls in Destiny 2
There are several good god rolls for The Immortal, whether you want to take it into PvP or use it against the enemies of humanity, but its real home will always be the Crucible.
We’ll start with the PvP god roll, which you’ll most want to chase whenever the gun is available. Our focus here will be maximizing range and minimizing time-to-kill, two things the right perk combination can do in spades.
The Immortal PvP God Roll
- Barrel: Chambered Compensator, Hammer-Forged Rifling
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds, Armor Piercing Rounds
- Trait 1: Rangefinder, Perpetual Motion
- Trait 2: Target Lock, Kill Clip
With some combination of the above perks, your Immortal will have at or near its maximum Range stat. And, provided you can stay on target with Target Lock or reload after a kill to activate Kill Clip, you’ll absolutely melt whatever you’re shooting at.
The Immortal PvE God Roll
Just because the Immortal obliterates in PvP doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a use in PvE. It’s not nearly as dominating a presence, given the vast amounts of PvE synergies with other weapons, but as a powerful Strand-elemental SMG, what it offers remains unique.
- Barrel: Chambered Compensator, Hammer-Forged Rifling
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds, Armor Piercing Rounds
- Trait 1: Perpetual Motion, Threat Detector, Rangefinder
- Trait 2: Hatchling, Target Lock, Kill clip
Combining these perks, specifically Hatchling, can add much to a Strand build, especially on a Warlock. Target Lock is still your go-to if you want pure damage output, and Kill Clip is always a solid choice. Adding in Threat Detector makes chaotic PvE situations a little more manageable.
Those are the god rolls you’re looking for on The Immortal SMG as you grind Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2. You don’t have to go Flawless to earn one, though you will if you want an Adept version.
